Having grown up in Germany I only realized how blessed I had always been to have good, tasty bread available everywhere once I went abroad... Nothing like the smell of fresh bread that has just come out of the oven! 🤤 That bakery looks lovely! 😍 P.S. I think "Herbert" is a great name for a sourdough starter! Actually, I recall reading recipes for a sourdough starter called "Hermann" some 20 years ago in old cooking magazines or something. They might as well be brothers or cousins. 😄

My Norwegian grandma had a piece of “Hermann” when I was younger I remember. She made cookies from a part of him haha. It was passed on from several other people and no one knew who originally made him lol. Fun idea, but I did not dare to taste the cookies haha

Gabs has a great laugh! Gabs and Marcus were so nice to have you in their micro-bakery! Great bread-making lesson by Gabs…and, thanks for your input, Gaz, on how to make the actual starter…you both explained everything so clearly. It looked like a fun time. I’d definitely seek them out for some great sweet and savoury baked goods, when I visit Wales one day.

This video was great. There were so many funny innuendos throughout the video, it had me laughing. I really enjoy sourdough and the tang of it. Sourdough is definitely one of the best breads out there. It was exciting to see how you used it for your Welsh dish, the beer cheese with mustard looked amazing after being caramelized. I know the flavors were probably divine with the mustard, leeks, chives and nutritional yeast, mustard with cheese adds a great bite to the flavor. This is something that would be great to try. You always add a bright spot to the day with your wonderful content, and its great to see everyone that you bring with you on the journey. Thank you for all of this, it’s much appreciated. We also need to see more of the master bakers, they were excellent.
