i am 39. when i was 18 i was able to move out on my own and afford a little one bedroom apartment in a neighborhood that was on the lower end of ok working 40 hrs a week for $8 an hour. my niece is making quadruple what i did and just barely qualified to get a tiny place in a sketchy neighborhood. so yea, she lives at home. these kids arent lazy, the game is rigged.

She is saying that the qualifications needed are becoming absurd in a lot of areas I'm in a similar situation looking to move to get more room. I'm required to make three times rent to qualify and with the average rent being about 1400 even making a lot of money doesn't allow me to qualify because I have to factor in my other bills food etc. If you're not already in a living situation and have a lease at a better rate from easier times you may not notice that it is hard to get into a fair one for the last several years. Maybe you live in an area where that's not the case but I would consider yourself lucky instead of shaking your head at someone for their story.

First Amendment protection is not limited to "pure speech" -- books, newspapers, leaflets, and rallies. It also protects "symbolic speech" -- nonverbal expression whose purpose is to communicate ideas. Eating pages of the bible is a nonverbal expression protected free speech.

Dearborn is the next town over from me, I haven’t heard of any be headings. Truth be told, when the Arabic community moved into Dearborn they took a shell of a town with boarded up buildings and turned it into a beautiful thriving community. Due to community sprawl they are now buying in my city and I hope they turn it around like they did Dearborn. We are all humans and basically want the same things out of life.

I am an atheist but respect all religions. It's hard to hear when you insult a religion your ancestors used to be. I know you two are atheists but don't insult other people's religion. It is an immoral and extremely sinful act. As an atheist of Asian descent, we believe in the law of cause and effect. Bad deeds will have consequences whether you believe it or not, it happens every moment while you are alive. The law of cause and effect is a law that always applies to the whole universe and no one can escape. Whether you are an atheist, Christian, Muslim, Hinduism, Buddhist, Sikh, Judaist,... Then doing a bad thing will receive many times more retribution. Think twice about your actions when doing anything. That is good for you!
