Awesome presentation! The main difficulty with VoF is calculating surface curvature efficiently for surface tension; the exact position of he surface is unknown and it has to be reconstructed somehow. To make this easier for everyone else, I have published a paper on the PLIC method. Links are on my YT channel!

Great video. Do you know if COMPRESSIVE (default in Fluent) is a First, Second or high order scheme?
@CFD_Mojtaba3 жыл бұрын
Hi Leonardo, Thank you for your comment. The compressive method used in Fluent is theoretically second-order.

@@CFD_Mojtaba thank you. Do you recommend some book or paper where I can read about algebraic VoF approaches, particularly COMPRESSIVE AND HRIC MODIFIED?

@@leonardohenao7646 you can have a look at the following papers: Muzaferija, S. and Peric, M. 1999. Hi sir. If my simulation, the volume of water fraction in overset domain have surface which dont integrate with surface of virtual towing tank domain, how it happen? How i almost do? Thanks sir

if we take Multi-stepping method like number of implicit multistep is 8 for example, then should we take this into account while setting a lower and upper CFL values for HRIC Scheme? I mean multistep allows to use 8 times larger courent number in this case so one should also use larger lower and upper value for HRIC? what is the disadvantage if I use lower and upper limit 50 and 100?
@CFD_Mojtaba2 жыл бұрын
Dear Abhishekkumar shingala, To make use of the advantages of the HRIC method, the values of the lower and upper limits of courant number within the VOF method should be higher than the local courant numbers encountered over the free surface. I hope this helps! Respectfully, Mojtaba.
