Hi buddy good to hear from you again 😊 hope your well.. Thank you for the compliment it's much appreciated bud..👍 I've never seen any signs around the Slipway, I'd imagine it's free co's there'd be signs everywhere normally. It's very rarely used so probably uneconomical to police it if you know what i mean.. It can dry out at low tide so just be aware of that and the large party boats that steam up and down.😊👍

Hi bud, I'm the same, really complicated when there's extreme weather especially. More by chance than skill most of the time for me.🤣 There's some great info from @kirkhogan in this comments section about the Richmond area, loads to think about😊👍

I used to fish here trotting with a stick/waggler float at low tide,wading in, It's better further back towards Richmond, petersham meadows,three pigeons pub stretch of the thames,big perch to 2lb I had an ex mother in law who lived here,ham Street so I'd go fishing 🤣 Dace and bleak the main species, chub on a feeder if its not going through to fast, If you fish a punt there are bream to 8lb on this stretch I found it quite hard , Weights to 15/20 lb in autumn months!caster maggots and hemp for big roach,!

What a lovely bit of information my friend..😁 I'll look into Petersham and i hope you have a good day..😊👍
@kirkhogan26889 ай бұрын
Best spots are where the boats are moored ,there used to be a pub called the three pigeons which isn't there anymore,fish next to it in the deeper swims, bit of a walk from the car park but good for mixed bags of fish Some have steps, others you can wade in, There is a video of Steve gardiner fishing the ham stretch in the 80s and he hammers the silvers, I wouldn't fish it on the tide , Always fish it at low tide as you get 8 hrs of either still water or just a tiny bit of flow! The tide is hard Not fished it for years, But great for silvers,

Thanks for the info, I've just taken a screen shot of it on my phone, there's so much useful info to use.. I just realised my 3rd & 4th video coming up on the Tidal Thames at River Lane is the Petersham Meadows stretch, i haven't checked the footage yet but fingers crossed it'll be good enough to use. Looks like another trip to Richmonds on the cards again after the extra info. Thanks again..😊

@MUCKER671 The best spots were down by the white Hart Hotel down by Richmond Bridge the match swims , But unfortunately they charge you to park all round there And the record river carp was caught opposite by the island was 32lb back in the day, Keith Arthur off tight lines fished the bunker by the island and had bream to 8lb, he lives along there. Any swims from petersham meadows up to ham aerospace are good, I used to night fish the aerospace in the summer for 200lb of bream on the swim feeder, Lots of fishing on both sides of the water, The less flow the better the fishing... It was all free fishing ,you just need a fishing trolley and plenty of bait!

If you look up Steve gardiner Famous angler from Horley, he fishes petersham meadows and catching one a chuck He fishes the feeder for chub at the same spot, I've still got the video he fishes low tide with hemp and casters ,wading in And he proper bags up! Great place for youngsters ,with the occasional big 1lb perch to contend with... Great sport although mainly small stuff!
