This is a kind of plane that setting a different hotkeys for cannon and mg shooting really help a lot to maintain a longer flight without having to rearm that frequent. Reserve cannon ammo for tank and precise hit for plane, and mg ammo only for dogfight. Not as good at flying like you did but I found it's more efficient playing these planes (Yak-9T, Bf-109 K4, etc.) once get used to the hotkeys changed. My setting is mouse 1 for cannon, mouse 2 for mg, and ctrl for zoom.

i still prefer the bf 110 G2 for any 30mm+ round type its got more and just more fun to use
