I was cutting Tuesday morning three houses from home. Stopped to dress the chain and feed the saw. I had my truck in the guys front yard, working off a little table i made for the tail gate. I try to keep things organized. I reach for the gas can and it felt funny. I had put my thermos Gatorade/water mix thermos next to the gas can. Both are red. I realized something was wrong as I could not find the save me from myself safety spout on the thermos. Thermos goes under the tail gate in the shade. No saw was hurt during my dumb ash move.

Didn't split or saw 1 piece of wood yesterday. First day I have missed in months. My Son had a head on collision in his brand new 1 ton Dodge work truck. He was sitting still and an oncoming 3/4 ton Ford tried to make a yellow light and lost control running about 50 mph in the rain. Both my son and the other young man didn't get a scratch! Both vehicles were totally destroyed. 2 other vehicles were damaged as well. Thank the Good Lord above! And now... Up, up, and awayyyy! it's off to the Woodyard to play catchup! Have a great day everyone and KEEP PUSHING!!!

28 years in tree service .and around wood yards up there and down here.ive never heard of anything but tree service wood.until watched your video s.so you know.i knew you could get logging wood but not as small as you do .problem is I have place to put it but don't think the trucks could get up and turn in my gravel driveway. Unless they use trucks that are shorter than 40ft .if they could make the turn.i might try it..*that 592 is best new big saw i hear .better than 395 even.little less torque but who cares no tuning needed more you use auto tune and m tronic better it gets reason WHY is it tunes saws at there best setting even better than the best mechanics. And it does it always.just a tip not telling you you need to lol.but you might try recalibration of your 572 s ..in a long log .found I had to do my 462zs and wow it runs better .sometimes they need it.yep pistons expand need warming up or rings will hang

Haven't put oil in the gas or the gas in the oil. Have put chain on backwards. Haven't forgotten the caps, yet... With my first saw a little homeowner McCulloch, I was convinced the brake was on backwards so I took it back and was humbled with my own stupidity by a 80ish yr old store owner basically telling me to higher someone instead. I'll say with that saw... He was right. I still have it but use my other 2 Stihl 182 and echo 490 because the Mac needs an impact wrench to start it because the plastic recoil starter well did what plastic does. I haven't cut myself out of a tree which seems to be my dad's hobby... Only sent him the the hospital once but stubbornness cost several bottles of super glue.

Your right on your words , Chris we are all human. This nice if you could put a turbo on 592 xp and few more trick under the hood Chris . We use to mix the gas little of oil , went I the timber days . I never lost an engine. Guys next to me cutting with same chainsaw would loose there engine faster them my . Don’t get me wrong after 1000 cords and 100,000 board feet off timber a chainsaw got to be rebuilt on the top end . Went it’s get into the bottom end , cheaper but your money into a new one Chris. Because parts cost more them a chainsaw in some case . Dealer get parts for costs, them we get market up price add on . That just doing business in today world . I was starting to think that I hadn't cut enough wood based on your "if you haven't" list. I haven't put stuff in the wrong hole yet or left the caps off. I've had 1 kickback in more than 30 years of cutting, 1 spat chain and at least a few chains on backwards and not noticing until tensioning. No chainsaw caused injuries. Plenty of wood moving or splitting injuries though. I got some of your favourite type wood yesterday after a FB marketplace win. 4 trees dropped off, 2 of them dry and probably about 7-8m3 (2-2.5 cord) in total.

I've had one kickback that would've gashed my face if it wasn't for my forestry helmet. Have had an oil cap fall off on me, never to be seen again. Once I put on a chain, tensioned it, and amazingly it spun like it should. Then I noticed something odd about the chain... LOL

Chief got a bit testy when five carbide tips had to be brazed back on the saw. Here is another fun fact. Chief's wear special boots. The bottoms are ground to form a wedge.
