All we need for attractions now is: 1: River Boat Ride for Land enclosures. Going around and maybe through it like the Jeep ride. 2: Sea Dome for Aquatic enclosures either on the sea floor or in the middle between sea floor and surface. 3: Maybe a little Submarine Ride going through an aquarium. 4: Hot Air Balloon or Hang Gliding.

The two things that would make lagoons near perfect would be underwater tunnels for guests and vehicles (entrance above ground attached to the wall, tunnel starts directly below at 2/3 the depth of the lagoon, and the tunnel itself can be curved about like the hyperloop tunnel) and a Jurassic Park: The Game-style underwater viewing platform with the same setup. Then Frontier can make lagoons fully perfect with kelp forest decor and expanding the behaviors of the aquatic animals with social interactions, decoration interactions, and some behaviors like breaching and spy-hopping and swimming really close to the viewing windows and eyeing the people within. Which leads to adding attack behaviors where the animals can ram the windows and break them when their comfort is low, flooding the stands and killing the people inside if it's not raised up in time. They could also do the same to the tunnels and platform.

Its worth noting that the DFW zipline will work for DFW and Biosyn, since the Biosyn build set uses DFW stuff for the buildings that arent explicitly Biosyn styled. Can't wait for those remote viewing galleries too, the perfect JPOG recreation is becoming more and more of a reality

Probably not going to happen, but I'm also hoping that they eventually add sauropod combat animations (or at least seriously buff their attack and defense stats so only the giant carnivores stand much of a chance against them and make sauropod immune to small carnivores) and pterosaur walking animations (at least for the Quetzalcoatlus) as well.

Using mods like Kais Free-Build and Wee Toolbox, we could maybe put the new Viewing Domes at the bottom of lagoons and have a cool new attraction. I dont know if the domes in lagoons will be part of the update or not, but still that would be neat.

If we don't get specific era domes in this update we will get it eventually, frontier is still supporting old consoles and how they can't era mix, so they will add them eventually or when the update drops. Or like you said it's a universal era dome. EDIT: so the entrance has changed to specific Eras but not the actual dome

2:33 I’m pretty sure we actually see the building the guests go down to get to the attractions in the trailer. That building behind the Deinocheirus is not a Gyro building.

The viewing log + dome would be real game changers. I picture one could make a habitat without the usual viewing galleries + towers, pretend the guests can see the dinosaurs from paths behind the fences, and pop the log/dome for an even better view that also fits the game rules. The foliage being more flexible is also good. One could use them to represent, say, a different region or biome in the same park. Though on the downside... the update on sauropod combat isn't what many expected. Sauropods really should be able to fight, not just attempt to flee. A lash from those huge tails would hurt a large carnivore or game-end a medium-small carnivore, and an elephant-like stomp would game-end one on the ground.

They said on the forums the viewing dome is one design for all era's but the building leading to them are era specific.

Love this. The greedy part of me wishes the log could be connected above ground. Place the entrance connected to fence and then you could have the log “tunnel” work kind of like placing monorail track and the gallery like stations. Except it would only be straight lines. I suppose the issue is that some dinos wouldn’t be able to pass under it which could create pathing issues if you stretch the gallery across the enclosure.

I'm really excited about the new viewing log and dome. Hopefully we get some kind of underground tunnel networking like in Biosyn expansion for these buildings. I remember the JPOG viewing domes having a very limited range. I have a bunch of paddocks I would love to incorporate them into. I have a Jurassic Park - Based build that utilizes the tour jeeps for the majority of the exhibits like in the movie. Most species in the park are seen on "The Tour". Two large herbivore paddocks and a bunch of carnivore paddocks. The carnivore feeders in the exhibits are placed near the fences to draw them into guests' view in the cars (like in the movie). The guest jeeps travel through the big herbivore exhibits kind of like a safari tour. It would be nice if I could place the viewing gallery entrance on main thoroughfares and have them connect to distant viewing domes in exhibits via a tunnel network. The park's 5 stars, but it will further improve dinosaur visibility. I don't really use the zip lines in any exhibits. I think the only possible place that it could be incorporated would be the velociraptor exhibit, but I don't know how I feel about dangling guests over a carnivore paddock. OH! I am also looking forward to be able to use foliage from multiple biomes in addition to new decorative foliage (that hopefully includes some new trees). I do agree with the comments below about a river boat ride and the hot air balloons. I think the hot air balloon would be easy to incorporate into the current game, but the river boat ride would be a challenge. I would also like to eventually get a more in-depth guest mode. It would be cool if you're controlling a guest avatar during an "asset out of containment" incident or hurricane. Being able to tour your park as an actual guest and having to survive whatever disaster might occur. I don't know. Something else to do in-game. That's just me being greedy though. LoL

Jens Erik has already confirmed via Twitter, Reddit, Frontier Forums, etc. that the square maps are indeed just big square maps, one for each biome. I think that he said that they're reworked versions of existing maps so they'll still look pretty familiar. He also confirmed that all foliage decorations on all maps will be coming to PC. He said though that it's only the foliage decorations and not the foliage brush tools. Theoretically, you should be able to achieve with the foliage decorations anything that you can with the foliage brush tools, but it'll definitely take way longer. He also confirmed that the instant amenity, restroom, and shelter building now applies to other modes outside of Sandbox since Sandbox has always had instant building as an option. It'd be nice if they just turned off small carnivore attacks on sauropods or at least buffed sauropods so that they're only really vulnerable to the largest of carnivores.

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've played this. Does anybody know if they did anything with the territory system? I've been trying to make unique enclosures utilizing the territory system to kind of keep them not nec confined to a specific place, but at least more drawn to it and more prone to congregate to it...but it always ended in failure. Any updates on this? Any news or advice would be highly appreciated, I'm playing on PS5

I'm glad for the sauropod buff at least, still doesn't do their imposing size justice but I hope the idea of carnivores failing a hunt is expanded because most apex predators only have a 20-33% success rate

I think an alternative/additional feature for the cinematic mode would be adding security cameras, meaning you can place them and quickly toggle through them, getting good angles and shots and being able to keep a close eye on pesky dinos

@Gabriel Tarin not really if you think about it. They could have made it work if they took the time to work on it properly. There are plenty of cross gen games that are way more technically and graphically advanced than JWE2 and they run all their functions and features on both old and new gen. This game was just rushed. More proof of how rushed it was is the fact that nearly everything we're getting in the free updates is stuff that the game should have launched with.

Honestly I'm still just disappointed we haven't gotten a random island generator like in JPOG. I think a feature like that or similar would be amazing for Evolution. But I doubt we'll ever get that l, now even more so we have the square maps :/

They Only upgrade decorations and this kind of stuff, but they do not change the dinosaurs intelligence... all hadrosaurs are just running things who don't know how to Kick a velociraptor... I mean, the Herbivour in general should be changed- the carnivores to, but the herbivores are just pathetic-... but the preoccupation for the developers are limited to show new decorations and more animals which are more dumb things, although the new ones looks more like true animals, I really would like to see the dinosaurs behaving like true animals in this game... sadly that will never happen kkk Just my opinion what doesn't mean nothing, huge fan of this canal from Brasil!

By a long shot, the free update is WAYYY better than the paid content. The tree decoration feature alone is better than the feathered dinosaurs.
