Stupid hidden costs! What a rip-off for a one day fishing pass, and those forced non donation donations should be stopped. I'm upset about it as if I was the one that didn't get to fish a what could have been an epic fishing hole, but then again, I think we should all be upset about it. That's it!! What we need to figure out is the free fishing days. I think most states have them around opening season, but yes we need more free things to do. Life is too expensive as it is. Sorry for the delayed response. We're still Stacking beets. Hoe you're doing good and enjoying the start of desert rockhounding season..

We found that spice at Grocery Outlet. It's salt, pepper, rosemary, lemon and oregano I believe. It's pretty good on almost anything. Thanks for watching. It is a beautiful world we're living in.

I'm sorry Liz that you didn't get to go fishing! That looked like it would have been a great spot too. But I understand your needs outweigh desires and there will be other times and other places that you can fish and I hope you catch a ton of fish there! That place was pretty fantastic though! And man you can't beat that starry sky! Oh and the rocks! And the cute frog! Ok as campgrounds go, that one had quite a lot of added benefits! Take care guys! And the beet goes on!❤

We'll probably hit it up on the way back. Had to get to the harvest. Few more days left and we're free again. This run we were trying to stay as North as possible just to see different scenery.

Most states seem to view out-of-staters as a never-ending source of "free" money, whether it's with high recreational fees (fishing, hunting, camping) or those wonderful extra charges on hotel rooms. I remember that every year in Colorado the non-resident fishing license fee and duration of the permit changed and we'd have to figure out how to schedule our fishing days to optimize our licenses and get our money's worth. That really sucks to have a fishing day planned then ruined by crazy high cost!

I know it! We could have swung for it, but just couldn't justify the cost for a few hours of fishing from shore. Not much for free anymore, but we aim to find what is left.

Sucks about the fishing license! Last time I got a license in MT was in 1996 and it was just $10. Walleye are delicious!

We just had walleye for the first time this year. It was delicious! Wish the licenses were still $10. That makes more sense for 1 day.

Well free camping is awesome but a mandatory donation is asinine and for the cost sweet Mary on a motorbike , I get some states like Colorado add an extra $1.75 for Search and Rescue and wild life education fund but that's a Far cry from a mandatory $20.00 fee ( sorry donation) its $8.00 here in Missouri and that's flat ($49.00 for the whole year for out of towners ) ... At least the rocks where cool and the omelets looked great. And dont sweat it Im gonna put you on to some monster catfish here in Missouri ... our at least some bluegill and bass LOL

Very misleading about the fishing license. I thought Big Sky Montana wants to attract game related people, but to force someone to pay a donation on top of the advertised $10 license fee is very wrong! I would have not paid for a license either.

We thought it to be pretty silly too. Good thing we had fun hunting rocks and catching sunset which cost nothing.
