thats why you always make a test video first just like take a short intro test some features on it and slap some random music on it and see how it comes out really quick just something bout 5 seconds long and you get to know how it will be for your long videos if it comes out with a water mark or some other bs then trash the software look for the next

Hey i had the same problem, you need to click activate for free when you first launch Hitfilm, you then login or create a account. After that you will be all good. I did a final for school and when i exported it i was greeted by the watermarks and beeping. I then figured out thats all you have to do. Hope this helps!!
