So great ! I've been looking for ways to warm up my voice, since it really changes everything, and only now do I find this, from my favourite band ! Wsh I could attend one of the workshops…

This was wonderful, thank you both so much! Unfortunately I don't know anything about singing but I had a lot of fun doing all these exercises. :)

+Dunja Djurovic I'm glad you enjoyed them! There are more to come, so maybe you'll suddenly find you know more about singing than you thought! :)

Okay, I don't know how to start this comment, sorry it will be long and really mixed up. The main thing I have to say, is "thanks" to both of you. I am feeling like a child at Christmas! I listen Estampie, Qntal and VocaMe for years with little sparkles on the eyes, so when I saw the title of the video I was about to say something like "OMG I just passed away and it's Heaven, isn't it?" xD (and I apologize for my really poor and rusty english, I'm sure I am making lots of mistakes, but I'm french and I study latin and medieval french more often than english, and like all french people, foreign languages are not exactly my cup of tea. I know, it's a terrible flaw xD) More seriously, It's a really nice and kind initiative, I'm always happy to sing, and to read/hear about singing (Okay, I must confess, I put the subtitles, my english is poor, but my german is worse!). It was really fun to do these exercises. It's really funny, in fact, because this year I started to sing on my university's choir and I am discovering this video with a friend from the choir while we are in Paris after a concert yesterday : we had the pleasure to sing the Carmina Burana with two others choirs, it was a really amazing experience! Thanks a lot for this video, and I wish the best for both of you =)

+Marielle D. Hi Marielle! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the video! There are definitely more to come! Your English is actually wonderful! Much better than my French. ;) The Carmina Burana is a lot of fun to sing! We did it last year at an outdoor concert with the Philharmonic. I wish you the best of luck with your singing and hope to see you at one of our concerts in France this year! We will be there with VocaMe which could be interesting for you if you enjoy medieval French and choral singing! We're in Besançon in May, in the Brittany/Normandy area as well as the Alsace region in August. Check out www.vocame.de for the exact dates. Take care and keep singing!

+Sarah M. Newman Hello Sarah ^^ Thanks for your kind message ^^ Yeah, the Carmina Burana are really, really fun to sing ^^ I was so happy to be for the first time on stage with this amazing work *w* I'll try to come to hear VocaMe in Augustus ^^ I'll be glad to hear you ^^ (even if CD's are amazing, I know nothing better than a concert ^^ And you guessed well : I love VocaMe *w* I discovered it last year with the Hildegarde's CD, and it's my main soundtrack to write my essay on the medieval french drama this year xD)

This is great! Didn't expect it to be this long :) Question: I've done some drone singing before, and what I find most difficult about it is keeping the tone. As soon as I hear someone sing the melody I often automatically start singing the melody as well. Do you guys have any tips for that?

+Martin Rogers Hey Martin! I'm glad you enjoyed it! That's also a really great question! We may have to make a Q&A segment on singing! :-D
