As a boy I tried to draw my cap pistols like WILD BILL ELLIOTT! To this day I cannot imagine how he could draw and turn those guns so quickly! I loved ALL of the actors who played RED RYDER. BUCK JONES, RED "DON" BARRY, JIM BANNON, ROCKY LANE and of course WILD BILL ELLIOTT! Thank you Rob for this wonderful trip down the lane to COWBOY HEAVEN!

Guy Madison on TV WILD BILL HICKOK had reverse draws. So did his sidekick, Jingles! I did the same thing, terry, and tried to convince the cowboy kids in the neighborhood that it was a faster draw. Not so sure about that, but it did look cool!

@@AWordonWesterns Speaking of Guy Madison, I would love to see a TV episode of his WILD BILL HICKOCK! I have the radio show and love them! Tell me, Rob. Were you good at the reverse draw? I gave up and tried to cross draw. No dice. It was straight draw or lose the gunfight. LOL!
@j.sumner69996 ай бұрын
The secret is in the wrist. It is even faster if you wear them higher. If your holsters are waist high. You pull your elbow straight back and snap the pistol out using only your wrist and fingers. It just takes a bit of practice, and the revolver does not have to move nearly as far as it does worn low on the hip.

@@j.sumner6999 Thanks. I developed a cross draw with only one gun. Standing sideways facing my adversary. He had a smaller target and I didn't have to lift the gun more than belt high.

There was something in the movements, and features of Duncan Renaldo in this film that reminded me of the character Monk played by Tony Shalhoub. Totally different characters yet there was something.
