Tbh I was never conflicted about Scylla even with all the shady shit. I knew her story wasn't going to be so black & white & I found her character to be the most interesting & complex. Also remember, Scylla's parents were murdered by the army when she was 16 & then taken in by the spree not long after when she was at her most vulnerable. She has her reasons & the spree have theirs, but that also doesn't mean Scylla & the sprees reasons actually align. Scylla's just taking orders. I always felt that Scylla was broken & grieving & got sucked into bad shit. I definitely think ep 4 & 5 will help you determine your conflicted side when it comes to her.

I can't wait to learn more about how the Biddies and their connection to Alder works or how Alder seems to be tied to the land at Fort Salem somehow. I don't think Sylla thought out how to get Porter out of the way. He freaked her out with his questioning and she panicked. Raelle really can't help but attempt to heal Porter when she sees him. Even if his wounds could have killed her. It's just in her nature. It makes the next episode all the more interesting. I think there's quite a bit of subtle foreshadowing in this episode looking back at it.

No no no Scylla is nothing like Regina. She is much closer to Lexa because I cannot emphasis enough that the military are not the good guys . They are just as bad as the Spree and in many ways worse . So think of Scylla and the Spree as Lexa and the Grounders and think of Alder and the military as Pike and the Sky People “. Both sides can be savage and evil but they both think that they are fighting for the greater good.
@Dividedwestand02214 жыл бұрын
Thats....a really good way to see it! Thats the way I saw it too, to stop thiking in the fantasy way of good vs evil and more in the realistic way of people are grey, they have good and evil in them and are capable of both in measures.

@@Dividedwestand0221 Indeed. But let's make it clear that Spree are absolutely evil. It's just that the military is equally evil albeit in a different way

@@manuelalima3802 I absolutely agree that our real world military is a horrible institution but compared to the Motherland military they are way way better so it's understandable. While real world military is crap and horribly abuses it's power it's still nowhere near as brutal and totalitarian as Alder's military

omg i love ur back and forth with scylla cause that is 100% how i felt when everyone was loving her im sitting her like omg she just cheated on raelle and she just killed her ex so he wouldn't out her lies.. this is why i said she can not become good until she has her redemption story cause of right now she is still bad

I find it interesting that in this alternate universe, there’s a gender reversal where the men are submissive and subservient to “serve” the needs and sexual needs of the women and the women here are the ones fighting which is basically like the breadwinner of the family. Also, everything will go downhill from episode 5 onwards so enjoy Raylla happy moments while you still can ☺️
@littleboots76294 жыл бұрын
dude, it's ok that your at where your at with Scylla and Raelle we were at the same place with this episode when we saw it with Scylla and Raelle in this episode. so valid that you don't get it, you don't have to. so I get it but soon you will get it too. glad you don't look ahead so you can be like us. just know all good books movies and stories are good because they aren't black and white there's a hell of a lot of grey.

The murder should be a bigger deal than the cheating, she only "cheated" so she could murder. Now we get to the creepy part of the episode. Not theoretically against Parabiosis, but it's ethically questionable even in the Silicon Valley "Blood Boy" sense. Raelle trying to save Porter was very brave and selfless. Is it weird I got a "Give Blood" ad after this reaction?
