Thanks for this and for publishing the pdf. It's a great learning tool to attempt the drawing first and then play the video to compare or get unstuck. Cheers! 👍

1. 26:18 How can we get 16mm diameter from the draws? M16x2.0, Doesn't this "2.0" mean "Pitch"? 2. 31:08 Why the dimension of the rectangle is 15mm?

@@TubeCFK Thanks for pointing out the mistakes. M16x2.0 indeed means pitch, my bad. I looked at the drawing again and couldn't find the dimension for that hole, apparently that dimension is missing along with the rectangle that I assumed to be 15 mm.

Great Series, I very much like it! I have started to do it on my own and when finished verify how you did it. They main difference I found was in the use of the datum plane: I prefer to directly attach the sketches to the required positions so I did not create any datum planes. Also in the sketch with the (later) tapered hole, I created a point with a distance of 100mm for the origin on the 120° reference line. I later alinged the sketch-plane for the through hole with "tangent to face" using the face of the cylinder and that point from the old sketch. This avoids recreating geometrie that had already been constructed. I then extruded symetrical in both diections to get the correct connetion to the attached cylinder.

That does sound like a good approach. I am always learning new tips and tricks from the comments when viewers discuss their own approach.

I am very thankful for your videos. So many good tips within them. Are there any plans to make a video where things are not proportional? Not an equal "this side is exactly half of this length" etc? I've always suffered with those situations.

You are welcome! Sure, I will find a drawing that is not proportional.

Metric ISO thread regular M12 has a pitch of 1.75 why do you use fine threads?

Could you publish the PDF you are looking at for these? I'm at the step where your sketch is fully constrained, and mine is not, and having a hard time figuring out what step I'm missing. You are moving quite fast :-)
