It's nice to hear you express those concerns. I just completed the cert this weekend and I mostly agree that they could remove all projects, but the Exercise Tracker, difficulty wise. In fact, when I had completed the File Metadata Microservice I actually went on a Google trip to see if that really was it. I feel like that project just got handed to you with the hint to use multer. I kinda feel that, like you say, 300 course hours is a bit too much and that it would feel more in line with what we're really doing if they reduced the estimate to 100 hours or so. I also resorted to not use mongoose at all in any of the projects, what is your opinion on mongoose nowadays given that Mongo seems to have updated their built-in stuff quite significantly recently?

So can you suggest any replacement for these basic projects which will make this course wholesome?

Thanks for the video, Dylan. I think I'll skip this certificate for now. If FreeCodeCamp happens to add more interesting modules then I'll start working on it.

I think FCC should cover at least the basics of SQL given how prevalent in the industry it is. Definitely something I missed when I finished FCC earlier this year. Also version 7 is in alpha I believe

DanteS I know FCC might not have SQL in their curriculum. But if you search *SQL FCC* on KZbin, you'll get a lot of videos on various database videos from FCC 😊

@@SudeeptoDutta How is that relevant to my comment about the FCC curriculum? I was just pointing out FCC should be teaching SQL because almost every single job out there requires it, but the opposite is not true for NoSQL. I know there are plenty of other resources (not just YT videos), just that I believe it should be more beneficial to include SQL (and maybe the basics of database design).
