This version of James Harden under Kevin McHale was what I like cuz it was all around in terms of scoring not just dribble dribble dribble step back 3s and drive to the paint

Most of the counters and set ups from his peak are absent. This version of Harden was just blowing by defenders. It’s crazy how even though his shot profile simplified as the years progressed, the manner in which he got to his spots became so much more sophisticated.

right lmao it was so weird watching him just blow by defenders and just look so agile mobile and light period

They should've kept JLin with Harden and pick up a wing. Ariza sold them he shot for like 0/20.

I think, what Okc Would have been with this unselfish version of player instead of having westbrook in top years. In this years Harden knew The Perfect play to set on the table in every posession, look how he knows when share the Ball and when to decide to shoot it. He was the Perfect cooperator for durant, okc deserved this duo that never happened.

Though primarily a scorer, Harden is also known for his playmaking ability, orchestrating the Rockets' offense with his elevated assist numbers. Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni played Harden at point guard, which resulted in him averaging over 10 assists per game for the first time in his career.

The Harden move is one of Sam Presti’s biggest mistakes.
@ShaadsComicsandBeers5 ай бұрын
It was either him or Westbrook
@ColdHoops5 ай бұрын
@KKOPPONG Look at where OKC are now... Presti somehow someway redeemed himself. Don't focus on the past. Only the present. Besides... neither Harden, KD or Russ have won a championship so it's not bad when you look back at it (yes KD's rings don't count)
@MrLawrenceflowers5 ай бұрын
@@ShaadsComicsandBeers I remember it being Ibaka or Harden not Harden or Westbrook.
@MrLawrenceflowers5 ай бұрын
@@ColdHoops that’s why it’s his biggest mistake had he kept the core of Harden, KD, Westbrook together they would have gotten one before 2015 when the GSW changed the league to this shit we have now. And that May have corrected the course of history in the process. KD being the legacy who would’ve benefited most from them keeping harden obviously. As he would be seen as possibly the Kobe/Jordan/LBJ of his era with the chip to add to his elite level of scoring he displayed during his young at the time career.
@ColdHoops5 ай бұрын
@@MrLawrenceflowers I agree with you that OKC wins either in 2014 or 2015. But to say KD would be viewed as the Kobe/Bron/or Jordan of his era is a stretch. KD has been 'elite' since his sophomore year. Kobe was only truly considered 'elite' from his 5th year onwards (2000/01). We know KD would've won before Bron did (who had to join Miami). So to compare him to early LeBron would've been ridiculous. And the only way KD could've been considered the Jordan of his generation is if OKC 3-peated between 2013-2015. I definitely believe they were capable of going back-to-back in 2013/14 and 2014/2015. But I strongly doubt they'd win in 2013. I still have Miami winning it all in 2012/13, had OKC kept Harden

@Sheena They were never favourites. Contenders? Yes. But favourites? Never. Don't be delusional. I was there. Harden's teams have never been the favourite in any playoff year.
