I've been a biker for over 40 years, and this really touched my heart. Sherri, keep the rubber side down and your writing pen busy. God bless you.

WOW, 40 years as a biker-Very much respect to you. I am 54 and just starting out as a beginner biker, Just bought my very first Harley Davidson, my very first bike ever and going to take the motorcycle course and get my license. Looking forward to hitting the open road as a biker. God bless.
@suzintru17 ай бұрын
Congrats KJV on getting your first bike. Welcome to the club. Glad to see your taking a motorcycle safety course. I started riding when I was 20yrs old. Im now 72. Some advice from an old biker; Never ride faster than your experience level/ Respect the machine, know its limits/ I've never been down on the street, that's because I ride like everybody is out to get me ( there's a LOT of bad drivers out there!) / If at all possible I don't ride at night or in the rain/ On all my street machines I install a 160db air horn. It will save you, I guarantee it. And I always say a little prayer before I go anywhere. I know my guardian angel is with me, I like to thank him! So...keep the rubber side down and your knees to the breeze. Be safe KJV. God Bless.

Of all the "biker" songs I keep coming back to this one, because to me it's the one that best catches the spirit of riding. To me it isn't about kicking ass or rebelling it's about personal freedom, about the wind in my face and the open road in front of me. Thanks Sherri.
@SherriHill17 жыл бұрын
This is so special :-) Thank you! A lot of people don't like this song because it's not about drinking and partying and being a bad ass. It's about riding, that mellow feeling you get hugging the curves on a sunny day and just going where the road takes you. The people who say this isn't a biker song, must not have had a true bike experience. It's not just about bar hopping on your punked out bike and picking up women and getting stoned. People like that use to be called Posers lol!. Thanks again Richard! I truly appreciate you listening for this moving comment. Take care :-)

This has to be my *FAVORITE* song of all times, including all of the oldies but *goodies*. To listen to this song brings out all of the rain, fog, and cold weather in riding, plus all the sunshine, lite winds and just going down the road. From riding in the sleet in the Pa. mountains to the nice mountain sunset runs. From the time I first went on a mini-bike at age 8 to now, just going where I want to go and being in the wind. You catched it all in this song Sherri,,,,,. LOVE IT....

I think this the most wonderful biker song that I have ever heard it describes so many of us, out there rolling around on the highways of this country, I recently lost a bro' to cancer that every time I hear this song brings him to mind, Jerry Bailey. He had been my bro' for almost 20 yrs losing him was very hard on many of us, but hearing your song he rides through my mind, he may be gone in body but he lives on in me, and songs like yours keeps him alive every time it's played every where it's played, just wish he had lived to hear it I know he would have loved it as much as I do. keep writing songs like this and you will be a legend to bro's like you write about, shiny side up grease side down and knees to the breeze!!!!

Congrats Sherri you captured the real spirit of a true biker with your song. Hope you share the same feeling and happiness described in these lyrics in your own life. Better being a lonesome rider than belonging to the wrong bunch of buddies.

Thank you so much Danny. I truly appreciate your support for this song and I was very moved by your comment. I can't thank you enough! It's my dream as a songwriter to make someone listening to something I wrote to feel something. I know I will never be famous and quiet frankly, don't care to be. Hearing your comment and knowing you felt what I was trying to say is worth more than gold to me. Thank you again!! You made my day! Take care and stay safe!
