Freedom Of The Seas Full Cruise Ship Tour

*Post cruise update* - we loved it! We sailed last week from 9/22-9/29 from Fort Lauderdale for our 1-year wedding anniversary (9/23). The check in was amazing and seamless and we completed our muster drill before stepping foot on board. The ship is beeeeeautiful! The pool deck and Lime & Coconut bars are great! Our favorite part was the house reggae band, (Vybyz?) can't remember their exact name. But they literally played just about all of my favorite songs, from Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, Tarrus Riley, Beres Hammond and MORE! -We stayed in balcony cabin 1230 which is on deck twelve right next to the spa and close to the pool area, buffet, and El Loco Fresh. This is one of a few cabins that are much newer and more updated due to being added later on during a reamp of that floor. So make sure to check out the availability of these cabins if you prefer a more updated look. (the bathrooms are extremely tiny though) -We enjoyed Chops Grille but the buffet and main dining was a bit underwhelming. The service to get seated for My Time Dining was quite unorganized each night as well. The line was longer for those with reservations than those who simply walked up without one. (that was a bit frustrating) -The staff overall was good and friendly, with the exception of one Guest Services supervisor, who was unattentive and unapologetic for an issue that was caused by their systems. (but we got over it, lol) -Our stop to Grand Cayman was cancelled due to the storm Helene that was going on, but I was so tired and needed another Sea Day anyway, lol. We did manage to make it to the night club, which we NEVER do. But they had a Caribbean night and it was soooo much fun and the music was awesome! *OVERALL* I would definitely recommend Freedom of The Seas. If you're looking for a nice mid-sized ship with plenty of features, don't walk, RUN! 🥰

Me and my wife have been sailing royal Caribbean for years. I don’t drink alcohol. You can book a deluxe drinking package for 2 then call customer service to downgrade to a refreshment drinking package for 1 adult in your room to save money. I just did this for our upcoming trip on Freedom in December.

Leaving sunday on this ship, other than the 14 hr drive from NC with 5 kids😂 we are super excited though. We have cruised carnival many times but my first royal Caribbean

@letsgoseeit457 we're back and we loved it! Freedom of the seas was an amazing ship. Very smooth compared to smaller carnival ships we've been on. Hardly ever felt any rocking or shuddering. My whole family had a blast!

If you have the Internet package, try downloading WhatsApp on your phone and you’ll be able to stay in contact with family members using that application provided they also have WhatsApp on their phone

This was by far the worst cruise I've ever taken and I don't recommend it for anybody. The ship was literally falling apart. The elevators were extremely dangerous and did not work properly on both ends and on our first moments of embarkation completely shut down with no air and people were panicking. Guest Services knew about this and they've known the elevators haven't worked for at least a year now it appears and they do nothing about it. Do you like powdered eggs for breakfast cuz that's what you're going to get in the buffet with some Sour orange juice that tastes more like lemonade if you ordered the refreshment package. Oh and by the way did you want coffee with that cuz you can't order two drinks at the same time they told us. Even though we paid for it. And how about swimming in the pool that needs resurfacing with Black Ops of hair that was absolutely filthy yeah that was fun. And try and get a bottle of water out there if you have the refreshment package because I must have asked four times and they never delivered it. They blow you off unless you're asking for alcohol. The portholes in the rooms were arrested out and absolutely disgusting along with the stuff in the shower that was rusted. I could go on and on but this is a horrible ship do yourself a favor do not book it

Well, I can see that you did not like being on board the ship. It’s amazing that I have a complete polar opposite view. I had a great time. I feel that being on board a cruise ship sometimes is what you make of it. It appears that you had a horrible experience and I am not taking anything away from that. Most of the folks I was with during my cruise enjoyed it and didn’t experience much of what you are complaining about. Nevertheless, I appreciate your viewpoint. You give a bit of perspective, especially to people who were looking to make a vacation choice. So thank you for that and for taking the time to leave such an exhaustive comment.
