Maybe you should contact Benelli and tell them that it’s dumb that the length they choose to make their standard length tubes is 1 cm short for you. Our tube is an exact replica of their tube, at least dimensionally. But you’re welcome to find the tube out there that is 1 cm longer.

Great video, and unfortunately highlighted a mistake I made. When I purchased my M4 I had a choice of one with the butt stock, or one with the skeletal stock for $100 more. Assuming the skeletal stock was collapsable, I went that route, only to find out when I got home it doesn’t collapse more than 1/4”. New buyers beware, skeletal does not mean collapsable.

Who upholds 922(r)? If, hypothetically, I was out shooting with my son and I had the extended mag tube and collapsible stock with no other upgrades on my M4 and the police roll by, do they have the authority to confiscate my firearm and strip it to see if all the parts are compliant? Even if they do strip it and say I do have the trigger kit with the 3 parts, are each part individually marked or stamped saying, "Made in the USA"? Even if they had a resonable suspicion, wouldn't they need a warrant to take your property in order to take it apart to see? If you are compliant, do you need to carry the receipts with you of all the parts that are compliant in order to prove that it is compliant? Seems very confusing to me on how this is upheld.

Yeah see I had the same question. So who upholds this law? How does average Joe Police officer determine if the gun is not in compliance? If I am out shooting, any cop can come and question me simply because I have a Benelli M4? Then what? He can take it from me because I can't prove it is in compliance? I find this all very hard to understand how they would uphold this law.

I found the LEO designated 11710 brand new from an FFL and got that. I did not want the pistol grip and got the field stock. I just learned about the 922r and I am in the USPSA game so I asked around. As I understand it this is a non issue so I am not sure why this appears to be such a talked about concern but it seems to be coming from you guys mostly. I dont know how to sound like a dick in saying that but please understand that is not my intention. The bigger issue I have learned is that here in Cali a shotgun can't have more than 2 evil features. So in my experience so far, 2 FFL's I am currently dealing with to purchase have no issue with this, and its chalked up to importation laws not ownership laws.
@FreedomFighterTactical4 жыл бұрын
Brian: So glad you responded, and you weren't being a dick. I wouldn't think that at all. That being said, I'm going to address your comments directly and with honesty, so please don't think I'm being a dick about it - because I'm not. I'll start with saying that I couldn't care less if anyone observes 922(r) or not. It's none of my business, and quite frankly, I just don't care. Just like I don't care if someone speeds down the freeway. That's their prerogative and they are free to conduct themselves the way they want and pay any consequences that could come about from their decision. That being said, I provide a service - that being to put premium aftermarket shotgun parts in the hands of people who desire them. When I started FFT, there was no phone number on the website. I had email only. For two years I was hammered with emails from people about 922(r). Their curiosity and their questions didn't start with me - they learned about it somewhere else and they came to me for answers on parts they were considering buying from me - parts, mind you, that could put someone in potential legal jeopardy if configured improperly. I was getting 8 to 10 emails per day, and it was hard to help people in email, so I added the phone number. The inquiries increased - and this was at a time when I had no videos out explaining it, and no page on the website explaining it. So it wasn't 'coming from [me] mostly as you stated. In fact, I wasn't talking about it at all in the public - only to people who were asking privately. After years of that, I decided to try to help people more and to become a resource to explain it to them. I mean, I had a choice: Explain it to everyone so they have an opportunity to make an educated decision about the law and whether or not they wanted to comply with it, or say nothing, only help those who ask for the help, and let the other people who know nothing about the law buy parts that potentially make them felons, and to which they don't even know they're committing a felony. I decided to inform everyone so they could make an educated decision about what to do. That's part of the service I provide, and I've been providing it long before others started providing it - and there are others providing it - it isn't just me at FFT. So you asked around and the general consensus is that it's a non-issue. You mentioned some of who you asked around about it were two FFLs. To be quite honest, none of that matters. None of their opinions matter - at all. The only opinions that are going to matter are that of a prosecuting attorney and a judge or jury. That's it. What also could matter is if you had a personalized letter from the ATF telling you that you could build the gun a certain way, but that way ended up being illegal. What prosecutor or judge/jury could come after you for complying with what the ATF said? But if you were ever prosecuted on this, try telling a prosecutor or a judge that you 'asked around' and the 'general consensus as you understand it is that it's a non-issue.' Think they're going to look at you and say 'Well, Hell. He asked around. Some FFL told him it's okay along with a few other gun guys, so let's drop all charges.' Not a chance. In fact, the odds are high that by pointing to the FFL or to 'other guys' in the gun community that you built the gun as they thought and told you would be legal, most likely you just pled guilty without even realizing it. It's like guys that get caught speeding - they admit in court that they were driving 85 and then follow it up with 'I was going the speed of traffic.' The gavel goes down and they're guilty as charged by admission. Their face is in shock and they didn't even realize they just admitted guilt. Nothing else needs to even be said the judge wants to move on to the next case. Another thing - in California we're dealing with federal law in regards to 922(r) and in California we are dealing with state law with the State of California Assault Weapons Ban. Your last two sentences seem to commingle state and federal law and include quite a misunderstanding of California law, or so it appears, so I'm not going to go there since I'm not quite sure what you said. To end this response, let me be clear - I think it's a bullshit law (actually, a group of laws, statutes, and directives from the ATF), and it's written very poorly and is very vague and ambiguous. Additionally, a large percentage of law enforcement has never heard of it, would never hear of it, and wouldn't care about it. However, a substantial percentage of law enforcement DOES know about it, HAS heard of it, and CARES about it, and WOULD prosecute a violation of it. Odds are high you're already in trouble for other things, and 922(r) is just additional charges - but still - there are plenty of shitbag prosecutors who hate the gun culture and would love to make hay out of something like this. Worth the risk, particularly in California? For me, not a chance.
@whitey43114 жыл бұрын
@@FreedomFighterTactical I appreciate all that and in the end I placed an order on your site lol. For those that might read this I think maybe I can bring some ignorance to the table that is overlooked. In my understanding of the 922r what I purchased was just fine being it came configured for LEO and is 7+1 but none of that was done by me, this is easy to prove since I have the purchase order etc. What happened in my situation is I wanted to add an optic and now that the gun is here and ready to DROS realized something. I am going to want an adjustable comb for a good cheek weld to fit me better. This is where I think if I am understanding this crap correctly it becomes an issue modifying anything on this gun. My cop buddy is currently talking to atf to get some info because he has not heard about this either. But, like you said that is not going to protect someone regardless of his conclusion. I reached out to another uspsa shooter after our conversation and he laughed with a confirmation this is real but he also doesn't understand it as well as you do. So, in the end I gave you a call and am appreciative for what you are doing and I understand it a little better. For those reading any of this I will put it as simple as I can from an ignorance stand point. Upgrade the stock to something better like mesa tactical Urbino and you now have a problem with 922r. You are now almost there in terms of not having a problem so spend the $100 and get new hand guards and mag follower for your 3 total parts to be done with all this nonsense. I ended up buying a couple more goodies I couldn't resist and will have a cool setup when it is done. Thanks again for your reply and help, I look forward to my parts arriving.
@FreedomFighterTactical4 жыл бұрын
Brian: Just to be clear - adding the Mesa Stock does not trigger 922(r) with the Benelli shotgun. The ONLY things you can add to the Benelli M4 that trigger 922(r) is to add either or both of the collapsible stock and any tube that increases capacity over 5 rounds. Nothing else you do to this gun triggers 922(r). The Mesa stock actually counts as a 922(r) part because it's on the ATF parts list and it's American made.

Freedom Fighter Tactical, LLC I’m using what I learned to help others that I know. It’s the capacity altering that starts this issue and you have the work around parts to correct it, plain and simple. Another good point I just learned from your email is that the h2o is not exempt from this despite what’s floating around on the net. After annoying the shit out of you I realized this is simple and annoying. Just follow your mathematics on this based on which benelli you have and be done with all this. Or call it all stupid and roll the dice. I spent more than I wanted in money and pressed your patience only to end where I could have started, minus the frustration. I hope others follow this advice and I thank you for your help. I hope I’ll love all my incoming parts and they work well.
