I love Drumeo; they always hit us with fun, quality content. Do you guys have ii's performance without the interview? I'd gladly pay for that because the mix is amazing, and unfortunately, YT compresses audio. It should be Sleep Token's default mix because his playing adds so much to the songs which doesn't always come through on the album. Also, his live performance has much more variation, making it that much better.

what brandon and drumeo have done on this channel over the last 1-2 years in terms of creative direction and content is something that all directors from media organizations should study in my opinion. i'm not a drummer, and was never even particularly interested in it, and yet i find myself not just watching every new video drumeo puts out -- but then recommending them to other friends and family who ALSO know nothing about drums. it truly is an art form to be able to take something that is so highly technical and deliver it to viewers in a digestible way that makes it interesting, entertaining, and inspiring to EVERYONE.

I like the channel except for all the spoiling they do. Showing clips of the final takes from performences in the intro. I get that it probably is done this way for a reason but I still hate it 😂
@Funglutton10 күн бұрын
So here's my take on this: it's cookie cutter KZbin growth hacking for a general audience. It's the kind of thing you'd do for Mr. Beast. This may or may not make sense for Drumeo, it depends who their target audience is. If their most valuable audience is people learning drums for the first time then this approach to editing makes sense because it works on the masses. BUT if the people who convert from a Drumeo YT vid to becoming a customer are people further into their drumming practice then spoiling it in the intro is counterproductive. It will increase views and maybe boost the video's wide appeal (because algo), but in terms of the quality of view traffic and efficiency of conversion from view to sale, it's probably counterproductive because you're denying a niche audience an emotional high and huge brand appeal.
