Freego Pro Rumor?

Just for the record, I made this to get others up to speed on this new bike. I’m not hating on the new bike at all, but I am a little salty because I feel my bike will be the older model. If you know any other information, please put it in the comments so we can all stay up-to-date. I would love to get my hands on one to do a real in-depth review.

@E_bikeDad They had to keep it X2 cuz it's basically the same bike with just a few upgrades that should have been in the original version. Now the x3 should be a full upgrade like 72v or more powerful motor. They sent me a message on my channel about this new version but they said it was the 2025 version. They also said they will be changing the modes to city mode and off road mode. Here's the direct quote "We highly recommend trying the latest 2025 version of Freego's 60V e-bikes. Freego also introduces a new concept: Dual Working Mode. This feature offers two modes-City Mode, which is street legal with a speed limit of 28 mph, and Off-Road Mode, where you can unleash speeds up to 40 mph, or 50 mph on the X2. With these dual modes, you can experience fast acceleration and the freedom of riding. ".

This bike is a alibaba Chinese bike that Freego rebranded. Bike been out for 3+ years. If they can’t make this bike a beast by giving it 72v and 8000w no point of gettin the “pro” and Amazon has this bike cheaper

@@JordanMarley I figured that’s what they did it definitely looks exactly like the EKX X21 max. Either way I enjoy my bike, but I’d be lying if I said I’m not looking forward to the day that I can move up a class to 72v and run with the dogs

@@E_bikeDad just remember this has all bike parts. The faster you go, they're going to have to upgrade the brakes for sure, possibly forks, and tires\wheels. This bike on the road with the stock tires is sketchy as hell, especially making turns. They should have a road tire option. 45 mph on a bike already feels crazy. Be careful

The Freego distribution manager’s youtube video said carbon steel is 3 kilograms (6.6lbs) heavier than aluminum model. Seat is more leveled than angled back. No NFC tag to start. Did not mention 4 piston brake.

Apparently in the specs of the new X2 pro model, they added pedal assist to it which is cool for a nice chill cruise. And the X2 doesn’t have this feature

Another thing to consider is that the teaser is clearly indicating that there will be pas on this bike. If that is the case they have probably changed to a sabvaton or other similar controller as far driver doesn’t support pas. If this is the case it will be a downgrade. Far driver controllers are much much better for both performance and reliability.

I know it says PAS on the monitor but I think it’s not hooked up. Just like they did their own custom wire harness on the x2 far driver.

I hadnt been able to get the X2 yet due to funds but definitely going to stick it out for the pro now, hoping its a 72V. The single gear is also a huge selling point for me in just cosmetic terms. Thanks for hyping me up even more, great video

They both have the same drive components so the ride will be super similar. Until I get my hands on one I can’t give a good opinion on which is better.

I had a cheapo folding ebike senada drifter last year with that exact same display. Downgrade imo I'd say the old display cost a little too much

Just subscribed. I thought about one, I am over 65, though, and I already have 3 ebikes. I saw $2600 a few months ago. Plus tax+shipping, which is now a lot. I ride sidewalks everyday, a cop may say something, maybe not. Small desert town local police or sheriff's, are not usually friendly at all. Ive seen electric dirt bikes riding in traffic lane, and I've never seen one pulled over. My city considers all ebikes, bicycles, no speed laws, just bike laws only. Ride safe.

My father-in-law is 67. He wrote it today at our camp and wants to get one now it’s very addicting. I sold a bunch of stuff and I’m about to sell my first bike that I bought to cover the cost of this. Stopped and talked to cops and they all say 50-50 whether it’s legal or not now each state is different and they have different laws so you have to read the ones in your state and city. But most of the cops said as long as they don’t catch me doing on the roads, they won’t stop me. Just wanna make sure you’re safe. A lot of kids get pulled over or riding in the opposite lane or weaving through traffic doing a wheelie. I feel like as long as you’re being respectful they’re pretty easy-going. As far as the desert just be careful because sand gets in those bearings. I’ve had that problem with my big dirtbike.

@E_bikeDad I'm working almost full-time after I retired. I pedal my ebikes like a bicycle for exercise, and all my shopping. I just donated my truck to a veterans charity, and I no longer drive by choice. I love my ebikes. Ride safe.

All cosmetic changes basically. I don't like that new screen, but I like that you can change the power with more step 1-5 instead of just having eco/sport. I'm not sure if you can even program that controller through the screen anyway. Normally with fardriver controllers you have to Bluetooth into it with the app. So I just got mine and a pro is out...... yeah, not cool, but none of the major stuff is different, so I'm good.

yep I really want that single gear though, more clearance and less noise. I know they are a small company but I wish they would have done some release post or video. If they send me a bike I would have done the same videos I did for the X2 unboxing full specs and a ride review. The community around this bike is growing and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Im gonna be taking off the headlight and putting a dirtbike plate thing on it. If need ideas for video material, you could show how to remove headlight. Looks better w plate instead of headlight. I got my own battery powered bar headlight ill be putting on it

Put the headlight you should be able to just unplug it inside that cover with all the wires. I’m leaving the plate off of mine. I like the bare bones look.

It should be perfect my feet don’t sit flat on the ground when I sit on the bike. Even with a 1 inch smaller rim the spike has more suspension travel and if you want it to be a little taller, you can adjust the suspension about 2 1/2 inches. I’ll be doing a video soon on adjusting my shock to make it shorter for my height.

It sounds like a good idea but I had to pedal this on my range test. I ran it till the battery shut off and it was really hard going 100 yards with the weight of this bike

That new display is terrible and it won't allow more than 20 amps. And it doesn't tell you battery voltage... Just 5 bars. And the glass is weak. And is it connected to a fardriver in the new one?

Sooo, I have a the 20kw 75ah battery 72 volt Stealth clone and I have all these "Upgrades" and still have more range and I've had this thing for almost 2 years now, How do i still have more power. My problem is that, its so quite u can hear ANY little rattle which put my heart str8 to my ass EVERY TIME. The chinnese Stealth boomer clone is the best bing for buck

u can control controlling setting on your x2 ... Called a bluetooth dongle for the controller ! There is a video out i believe

No you can’t they customized the wire harness so there is no place to plug it in.

So the far driver controller on the Freego X2 has built in Bluetooth? What’s the app? I talked to a developer that said you have to plug in a Bluetooth dongle to the wire harness to change settings. But the harness has no plug for the dongle. I’m guessing the company changed the harness for their application. If you can find proof or tag me in the video I would love to solve this issue.

Where r u getting 72 volt from? The teaser for the pro says 60 volt. I haven’t seen anything about it being a different battery anywhere.

Yes the video with them starting it and riding it says 60v 30ah. Unless you have some communication with the company that says they’re wrong.

The pro model is a downgrade at more cost the owner of the company sed they changed things to match request of dirtbike riders. But it is bad way heaver less battery life less torque less top speed and it can rust it's heavy
