Hello Adrian Very helpful video! I am curious about one thing: You said you did your invoicing first Monday in the Month i.e. once a month for all the work you did the previous month... How do you keep track of and remember all the work you did when you do the invoice weeks later?
@Freelanceverse2 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter, good question! I have an order management sheet in which I enter every single job I do. So at the end of the month I just need to make sure that all of them are ticked off :)

Thanks for this video! Very useful. Why do you start from 11, and not 1, for your first invoice number? And do you start from 11 for the first invoice with each new client, or just the first invoice of the year?
@Freelanceverse3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, Anam. When I first used another software, it was a requirement to enter 6 digits, so I started with 112016. And then it stuck as a tradition :D but it's not necessary of course. No, I don't start with 11 for each new client. It just goes up and up with every invoice.

Hi Adrian, interesting video! There is still one thing that I don't really understand, so could you explain this ? :) When you are working with translation agencies, do you make an invoice for every single (translation, revision, etc.) task or do you work with a monthly invoice? I've already read that there are a lot of freelance translators that just make an invoice of all the tasks that they received in the month from the agencies, so that they don't have to make one for every single translation task. How do you exactly do this? In my opinion, it's a lot easier to make just one invoice per month; it saves you a lot of administrative work, doesn't it? Thank you so much for your answer! =)

Hi Thibaud, thanks for the comment. Yes, I should have made that a bit clearer, sorry. I invoice once a month, so I accumulate all the jobs I've done throughout the month and write one invoice per client :)

Hi Adrian, are there any other practical invoicing software besides Proz.com? Just to make a thoutghtful choise. I downloaded an app from my Galaxy Store called "Free Invoice", that seems to plain to me and I want to change it. Thank you
@Freelanceverse3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rita, I don't know any other tools, I've always used Proz. Before I made them myself without any tool. I know that a lot of people use Trello or other CRM tools for that. I'm sure there's a lot of stuff out there when you Google freelancer invoicing tool.
