freelancing is overrated - creative 9-5s are the way to go | TEA TIME

Trivial title of course for engagement purposes, of course in an ideal world everyone wants to be completely autonomous, and not everyone manages to find a fulfilling, well paid 9-5 as a creative. That being said - I feel like a creative 9-5 has a lot of value, even if you ultimately want to work for yourself further down the line. These are just some things to consider/hopefully offer some insight!

Yk what-- hell yeah. I used to think freelancing was the way to go but now I'm realizing that I'd rather be working full-time. I miss the predictability of my income. Not knowing where my next paycheck is gonna come from or when is STRESSful. Now breaking into a 9-5 after freelancing for so long has been another challenge in itself. I'm hoping I can I find a full-time role soon. Thank you for this video, its confirmation

Honestly! Yeah it's not even a case of one is TRULY better than the other, but I just feel like a 9-5 gets such a bad rep and people rush into freelancing expecting it to be this flexible lifestyle when it really isn't if you're starting out with bills to pay, and aren't sitting on a mountain of savings already. good luck on your journey - hope you find a full-time role that's enjoyable and fulfilling ! 🖤

Yes I agree. I realized this 2 years ago too. I’m happy to work my boring government job forever, and publish my graphic novels on the side. I have too much anxiety to not know where the money is coming from.
