Yo I just subscribed, because this is interesting topic to tackle. I have so many social medias but YT is my main. I can't do irl advertising because I don't want my family know what I am doing. they are not allow me doing this. I have to do art and share to the internet despite the AI threat. I looking forward how your journey goes without social media!

Thank you for subscribing! It's hard to navigate, but it's definitely possible to keep going without advertising much anywhere else, apart from KZbin. Good luck on your journey!!

My friend I have never actually heard someone say you don't need social media to find work. But it's honestly SO true that building a good portfolio is so different from making content that does well on social media. I absolutely love this message and I really feel validated. I've been going back and forth between trying to "build a social media presence" and actually hating that I felt like that was what I had to do because I so much rather spend my time making art. Which I will go do now. Thanks so much

This means so so much to me! I'm so happy you feel seen and inspired by this. That's all I ever wanna do with these videos. I also felt like this for years, and you can't help but think that you are on the wrong path if you don't post regularly. But you can absolutely make it work, and my journey, although slow and bumpy, has proven that there is a spot for us who don't want to do art just for social media 🥰 Keep making things!!

I stepped away from other social media for a week, only trying to watch videos to help my journey as a illustrator. Finding your video was gold 🤩 Thank you so much for sharing the websites, I’m feeling that I found my tribe now!!!

Thanks for sharing your resources and experience! I've been wanting to make art/design as my job, but have been feeling overwhelmed by all the options and possibilities. I might have also confused myself too by moodboarding my part art; my art focus/interest has changed quiet a bit. 😅 I'll be saving this video and exploring your suggestions.

@Anjel1e I completely understand ❤️ Starting out, i was feeling overwhelmed every day with what path to take with my art. And to be honest, that didn't change much with time. What helped me was choosing what enjoyed making over what was popular, and that is what made me the most fulfilled. It's hard out there, sending you a lot of love and support 🙏
