@@yahgent nope not at all, teachers are prepaid. Some do the best they can but many teachers are horrible and couldn't care less about actually teaching the kids. Shoving problems in our face with nothing to learn from, KZbinrs need to make thier video well understable, easy to learn and grasp. The better they teach the more popular/ money they make. These vids teach more them hours of lecture

Thank you, depending on the class and how many times I have gone over a problem I will explain multiplicity differently and at different paces. I have other videos where I spend a long time explaining multiplicity but this video was probably a review problem for my students so I did not dive deep into the explanation

Yes I'm trying to get the multiplicity and end behavior of a problem like this: (x-3)^2(4x-x) I keep getting it's crossing and touching at 3 and that 3 has two different multiplicities. Just really confused.

based on what you wrote when determining multiplicity you have to have your factors in linear form(meaning inside the parenthesis the power of each variable is 1) The power of the factor is the multiplicity. By rewriting your polynomial I obtain x(4-x)(x-3)^2

therefore your zeros will be 0,4,and 3 with multiplicities 1,1,and 2 respectively. For odd multiplicities the graph will cross, for even multiplicities the graph will bounce. Did that help at all?
