I have an Acedemic Decathlon math packet of algebra and trig. I'm doing it right now, also having to finish up a speech, science, art, and music packet so I'm hurrying. Did you mess up? Shouldn't it be (4,-4) and not (-4,-4)? Also, if you shifted it 1 unit to the left and got (0,0) then why is the asymptote x=-1 and not x=0?

reflecting is multiplying by the function where shifting is adding/subtracting to the function so reflections first

Brian McLogan I got confused by this problem : y = 3 -log base 4 of ( 5-x ) because there are two reflections and two shifts

that for sure is a messy problem, you will reflect both the x and y axis first then apply the horizontal transformation, make sure you rewrite (5-x) as (-(x+5)) to understand that it is a horizontal shift to the left, use desmos.com to verify your result
