In this video, we look at the second type of intermolecular force. These are called permanent dipole-dipole interactions. We start by looking at how permanent dipole-dipole interactions form. We then look at the effect of permanent dipole-dipole interactions on the boiling point of molecules, highlighting the fact that London forces also play a critical role.
