For the floral paper, did you trace the floral areas you wanted foiled onto the tracing paper with a pen/pencil first, then go over it with the foil quill to get the foil where you wanted? Just trying to figure out who you knew where to press down because the foil paper is opaque and you can’t see through it.
@itsthelittlethingsincardma79494 жыл бұрын
Hi Jennifer! Yes, I laid tracing paper over the designer paper, secured it with a hinge. I then pencil traced the images I wanted to foil onto the tracing paper, slipped the foil (pretty side up) between both the tracing and the original design, then went over the traced images on the tracing paper. I know I didn't make that very clear on the video. Thank you for your interest and stop by often. Check out my YT home page, there are other foil quill pen videos showing other techniques. Thank you again.

Thanks Lisa, use of tracing paper work great. Also for anyone with a Cameo, or other digital cutting machine, you can sketch designs, text on this tracing paper with pen then use as you show, particularly on items that cannot go through cutting machines. Great video

Thank you Pauline Purdum and welcome. I am so happy to hear the tracing paper worked out well for you! I'm still trying the pens out with other materials, but the tracing paper gets the best results...so far. If you watch my last video (Jamies card) you will see my struggle using the tracing paper (so it's not fool proof) . I hope to come up with some other way to transfer images. Thanks again and keep in touch.

A cookie sheet does well for in place of the magnetic mat. Also to hold th pen cut slices in a piece of pool noodle an attach the pool noodle piece to a metal container by slick g the bottom of it and putting it over the edge.. Saw this done on hacks to hold paint brush s.

Hi Barb Mengle! Thank you for sharing your tips using the Freestyle foil quill pens. I've learned to be much more cautious with the pens. I feel safer if they are laying down in front of me, but the noodle is a good idea. Thank you for comment, it's very much appreciated.
