I developed severe anxiety over having to prick my fingers daily and was excited when my doctor told me about the Libre. We were both surprised my insurance approved it because I've never had to use insulin and am not insulin-resistant. I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the applicator. It does look scary! However, I realized how easy and pain free it is the very fist time I used it. I am in love with my Libre. You could even say I'm sort of addicted to it, which is a good thing. I've noticed that by constantly checking my numbers, I make better decisions about food throughout the day. I forget I even have the sensor on my arm because I don't feel it. I feel the Libre is making a positive impact on my life and am extremely happy with it.

I used Libre 2 for 2 years and now Libre 3 for 3 months, swim 4 days a week and the only time I lost the Libre 2 was doorways, car doors and undershirts. The Libre 3 has never come off before the 14 Day time in fact, I have to forcibly remove it when changing to new one. I believe the difference is prep before application, I shave the spot, then wipe with alcohol swab, wait a minute or two then apply sensor, wait 30 seconds remove applicator. Stays on 14 days with sweating and swimming and does not get caught on doors etc.

I wear the clear bandage that goes over my Libre 3 to get it to last the 14 days. Also, whenever mine falls off early, I call Abbot and they’ve ALWAYS sent me a free replacement. They normally send it 2nd Day Air.

It’s brilliant, I absolutely love the Libre 3. Literally the only CGM that works for me after trying Dexcom G6 for several years and then the G7. I had a lot of issues with Dexcoms, mostly in the first couple of days of complete inaccuracy and alarm fatigue. The rest of the time it was okay, just reduced wear time compared to Libre and wish Dexcom could update every minute and make their app do some of what Libre do. Libre could do with taking a few of Dexcom’s bits on board too though! Also tried the different Libre’s and for me, this is their best one. Cannot wait for them to pair with Omnipod 5 and Tandem so that I can finally get on a HCL again. Then let’s just hope Omnipod and Tandem reduce those target levels on their HCL’s as the Libre 3 has such good accuracy (for me at least) that I can’t see why the FDA would have any problem approving lower targets when Ypsomed & CamAPS seem to have managed it (4.4mmol -11 ish I believe). Off to watch your Abbott video now 😊

what a great and interesting review Justin. Just discovered ur yt channel and it looks really awesome !! I´ll check ur other videos later this weekend for sure !! Hope more is coming up later. If all goes well I´ll switch from Libre 2 to Libre 3 later this month as lot of other Belgian T1 Libre users on MDI will have to do. I´ hope I can manage to get ly figures on my Garmin watch as well on my Garmin Edge bike computer. For now it has to be done via Nightscout I understand, which I have already running with my Libre 2. So thanks again and hope to see more soon !! 💪💪

I’ve been using the libre 3 and I couldn’t be more disappointed in its accuracy. Luckily I am not diabetic. I notice on avg 20 points lower, in what the app says to my finger prick. This has been several units. I’ve even put it on a day ahead of time as people say to do on reddit and it’s been closer to real time in the 2-4 day. Then about day 7-8 it just goes lower and lower by day 10 on this last one said your sensor has stopped working. Replace it. 😂 that was after a day in the 70s it went down to high 50s. At least I can see what fruits spike me the most as I eat animal based.

Great info! I just applied my first Libre 3. Was a bit reluctant at first but surprised it didn't hurt at all going on. I'm pre diabetic at 5.9 and trying to figure out what is causing my #'s to go up. Would like to get to the root cause if possible but my doctor isn't any help in that department. I wish I knew who to go to for help to get my #'s down before it turns into something worse. Question: is it a good idea to cover it in the shower? if so how? Also I'm wearing a bandeau bra & wondering how I'm going to get it off without snagging the libre LOL not to mention my workout bra's that are pull over.

I am on my second L3, not including the first two that failed because of improper application. I called Abbott about the first 2 sensors and asked for advice on application. The Chinese accent was very thick and the 2 support people I talked to didn't seem to know their own product. But I was able to get enough information after repeating myself a half dozen times. I told them I sleep on my side and putting the sensor on the underside or outside of the arm was not going to work. The second person on the phone spoke clearly enough to say it was OK to put it on the inside of the arm. This seems to be working and testing shows it's accurate. I prep the area with Skin Prep from Smith & Nephew. It stayed on for the full 14 days and was well stuck even then. I used baby oil around the edges to loosen the adhesive. Then I rubbed baby oil over the entire area to soothe the skin. And the CGM is giving me great guidance on what and when to eat. I have a 68 % in range rating and over the past 2 days I hit 98% in range! That has never happened before!

My son is using the g6 and so deep into alarm fatigue that he is headed to full blown depression. So, can Libre 3 alarms be turned off completely. I count putting it on vibrate as still being alarmed. Especially with the readings coming every minute and having already so much experience with numbers that want to sit on the high line or the low line and just move back and forth enough to get multiple alarms every half hour because it is just going back and forth say from 197-202 (H) or 68-72 (L). He had one yesterday that sat on the high threshold for 4-5 hours doing that even with a total of 15 units of insulin (by shot) trying to kick it off that line. Finally it did after about 5 hours later and sat on the low line doing the same (with treatment) for 4-5 hours. It took over half of the battery life of his pump with all the alarms. I am looking for the best way to get the info he needs to care for the diabetes but also not to destroy his sleep and raise his stress levels to the point he becomes depressed. Help!! Please!!

Amazing! I could not secan the Libre 3 device since it does not support Samsung Galaxy S24 mobile. After failing to operate I contacted the support center and they simply denied any responsibility including reimburshment. Can you imagine a modern device that exclude last versión of one of the most selling mobile in the world? Pathetic. I bought a diferent device which works proper and perfectly with all devices, and ...... cheaper, and much more easy to buy through Amazon, instead of getting it through the only distribución channel as Abbott. Last time.

@alanyoder76299 ай бұрын
@@diabe_tech a CGM is useful if you are managing your condition. I am not doing that. I control mine and a CGM wouldn't be of use to me to do that.

This can help to know what foods can make your sugars spike.
@alanyoder76297 ай бұрын
@@2teach2day I understand your confusion. T1s have to monitor sugar levels to know if an insulin injection is needed. I don’t do that and neither do most T2s. So a CGM telling me I am having a spike isn’t really beneficial since I already know that everything I eat raises my sugar level. And yes I know some foods raise it higher and faster than others but since I have zero means to do anything other than wait for it to drop a CGM is pretty much a waste of time. As for telling me my level is low and I need to raise it, yeah that one is simple. My body’s reaction to being out of fuel is all I need to tell me to eat something sugary. Been there, done that. Thanks for your input though.
