For sure, I caught that one too. His wordplay is insane, and this was in the off the dome era, too. He might have had the concept in mind on his way to the mic but to pull it off like that is on a different level. "I'll rip your eye out and play foosball with it" is funny af, too

@T3n50rАй бұрын
He's a pioneer and true OG of dirty south so gotta call cap on that. Dude done marked his spot with the choices he made, but would have been interesting to see the world where he went east coast instead and how that would have treated him not to mention the direction lyrics would take. Probably not as notable/king status but who knows?

@@T3n50r wtf? This was a classic banger, was bumping in clubs everywhere. Signature pharell beat
@T3n50rАй бұрын
@@kuruptzZz Agreed, but unfortunately this kind of sound I was the only one I knew in my circle that had ears for it. Gotta keep age and location in mind as well (most people commenting on these vids were born when we were living in the golden age of the mid 00's or the 90s), or in my case: they didn't even play it on radio over here except for 1 underground radio show (National Rap Show with Tommy Tee as the host). I live in Norway and wasn't old enough to get in anywhere until mid 00's and even then I was too young to be allowed in. They only played Eminem & 50, Nelly, Dead Prez, Flo Rida, Timbaland, Chamillionaire and whatever other artist the radio was playing. I can't recall ever hearing Ludacris despite how popular he was with Act a Fool. N.E.R.D. with Rockstar maybe, that's the closest to Pharell I can remember maybe being played out back then before he was properly known internationally. In the 90s I bet it was more of the same shit around these parts. MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Run DMC, 2pac, Biggie and so on. There was only one proper club I knew about that played strictly RnB/Hiphop in the capital of Norway (RÅ), but that place got shut down before I was old enough to get in. The stories I heard from that place was vile too, lmfao. I know most through word of mouth or crate digging online for hiphop. That was how I got to know Rugged Man in the mid 00's along with other underground greats like the Demigodz clique (probably biased but Celph Titled is still on my top 5 list of lyrical greats), Big L, Oldominion, Del Da Funky Homosapien all the way to the real obscure shit like the Invisibl Skratch Piklz etc. I went from East Coast to West Coast, Mid West and the dirty South on my spare time taking in everything I could get my hands on, this clip included. Vibing to N.O.R.E. at a club would be a dream come true.
