Adesanya has been in the UFC just over 4 years and has been a champ for 3 years. He’s been in 8 TITLE FIGHTS. That is insane. Adesanya is a legend, like it or not the man is putting in work, fighting at least twice a year and mopping everyone put in front of him. People don’t understand that exciting performances in the cage pale in comparison to the activity level, the resume and the star power he has outside the octagon.

I have to say Izzy, as a 20+ years experienced martial artist and kyokushin fighter myself, I really love and enjoy to watch all your fights. Yes, the brawls can be entertaining but it doesn't display the finess, strategy and beauty of martial arts, which I really think that your fights does. For non martial artists I can see how they don't appreciate the small details, but I really do - and you always display many beautiful small details, also in the Jared fight (which i really enjoyed). You have your own style and fight game, this is what makes you unique in the entire ufc and no one seems to be able to handle it, of course it will frustrate lots of people, don't let it discourage you or turn you off, keep your head straight and keep being your and be a fresh air into the martial art world. The fact that Jared (and most of your opponents) don't bring the fight, tells about how good you actually are, and not how safe you are. Please keep improving and do what you do best, and leave your stamp in the octagon for all haters and fans to remember. Osu!

Bro, he is currently on the second biggest contract in the UFC.If uncle Dana is putting so much money on him, he defo would want returns won't he? Izzy is extremely boring but that's not the problem. The problem is his pre fight trash talk. Don't say you're going to knock someone out if you are just going to play it safe. Do you really think that people spent nearly 80+ taxes to see a snoozefest or a leg kick fest? His opponents are to blame as well but they are not on huge contracts. Things are not looking good for Izzy, i think UFC is also putting some pressure on him.

This is the advantage of David interviewing Izzy imo. Izzy could do with showing a bit more vulnerability emotionally reflecting on his fights. Fans have wanted Izzy to breakdown to Jan for ages, the way Chandler broke down his loss to Oliveira. It's endearing content. So in that sense, the comfort Izzy has with David might provide the right energy and mutual understandings to be able to explore more vulnerable insights through that confidence in David compared to other journalists.

if i want art i go to museum. i just wanted a little bit of a more entertaining fight. me and the boys had a party and were watching the ppv event and we were slightly disappointed. im trying to word this in way that doesnt sound like hate. they are fighters and i huely respect what they do but we just were not entertained. i think fighters need to assume a slight amount of risk to be a little more entertaining. not sure if this is a good comparison but imagine back in roman times coming to see gladiators fight and seeing a "technical match". you want a little bit of savagery and i think thats just natural when watching a fight. let me know if u disagree.

I love this Guy's (Stylebender's) fighting pattern. Wowww!!!! Izzy's fighting pattern is classic, top notch. He is highly articulated, power packed brainy fighter. He reads his opponents as subjects in his career Courses and comes out victorious. He's got the hype, the brain of the game. He's not rushing to make mistakes. What ever you bring, he sees you and responds immediately to stop you from achieving your game plan and render his opponent working for full rounds. Who's to be blamed? Someone came to your house to take your property and you don't let him. Izzy lightly put it, if you want the belt come get it. It's not without a price. Lapping the division he said. It's happening, any machinery he uses D, TKO, KO, CHOKE, all is the game rule. Isn't it? Win is win. Anyone goes. Fight Sport is not an easy game to toy with. People end up in hospitals, even worse. Self and title defense is not an easy nut to crack. Watching him fight would be like his not good enough, facing him on one on one in the ring is a different ball game entirely. Critics will say all sorts, many fighters want to fight him, they will say, I can beat this guy, he's not so good and then when UFC book them to fight him, Tasting the pudding by themselves will tell. He looks easy to deal with. But then, when you get into the octagon with "this unassuming, so to say not spectacular guy", it's a game changer. He will go through the entire rounds with you alone in there with all that you bring. You can't succeed to do to him what your game plans were, because you can't get him into your game plan. He is not a mad man to get loose and jeopardize his hard earned TITTLE, UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD and so he retains his belt, touching you until the bell goes. By decision? YES! He won. He gave you the chance till the fifth round to take him out and take the belt. Even, he makes you feel it's a close fight and you come again, he retains the belt. You go home train hard and come again, he retains the belt. You Look at him as if he's easy nut to crack. At the end of the day what happens? Criticisms, I thought I won, he didn't do much, blames and all that but the guy is gone home with the belt. That's why I like Whittaker, he will tell you the truth about meeting Izzy in the Octagon. These are facts. Izzy said I have the belt if you want the the belt, come get it. Izzy is a veteran that studies his opponents on the spot while with him in the octagon, so he guides his territory against any kind of attacks to take the belt from him. He's gone home with his belt. "What are you going to do" He is as intelligent as not to get in there to under rate his opponents and begins to entertain the crowd and loose focus of what he stands for, so he defends his title. What do you have to bring to the table?. He's ready to defend and disarm his challenger's machineries. Critics can never seize but THE MAN IS GONE HOME WITH HIS TROFY.

People who say that fight was boring, don’t have a clue what they were watching. Anyone else stands there with Jared and they will get flatlined, but Izzy made Jared look like a deer in headlights. You ever seen someone go 25mims and know that “the one opportunity everyone told them they had to KO Izzy”, would never come. It was a striking, footwork and distance management Absolute clinic. There’s levels to this game and Izzy was only deploying the basics and that was enough to neutralize Jared. If he sticks around for a second finish, Izzy gets the finish.

Izzys problem is hyping himself and what hes gonna do way too much before the fights. Need to stop acting like hes gonna demolish people when he knows how hes gonna approach the fight. He compares himself to someone like GSP, but GSP didnt build up some crazy narrative to what kind of performance he was gonna have before he went in there. I feel like at least Pereira is gonna force Izzy into action more tho. Hes gonna come at Izzy and can be comfortable doing so unlike his previous opponents. I dont have a problem with fighting smart, but its just different somehow than GSP for example (who is my fav fighter of all time). Izzy has been my fav current active fighter for a while but he truly is starting to lose me. GSP never started to slip from being my favorite. I think its because even when GSP played it safe, technically he was still absolutely dominating his fights. Izzys fights have been much much closer than he'd like to admit. He will fuck around and lose a razor close decision fighting the way he does eventually. But in comparison to GSP, your opponents cant out point you when they are on there back lol. Izzy has only been doing enough to where, if his last several opponents would have maybe had just one big moment in a round they would have stolen the round. You dont want to fight in a way where a round can be stolen at any point with just a few seconds. Especially with the scoring these days and how judges look at strikes, nor do judges seem to recognize high level defense on the feet and count shots as sig strikes that shouldnt really be counted at all. Izzy is great at rolling with shots and stuff but judges just see it as landed shots

I respect the way Izzy's fighting. He's so good, in control, & better than his opposition that it feels like he can't be beat fighting "technical." I think that's part of the criticism. Casuals can sense the differences in lvl of skill & I suppose expect/yearn for more. The problem with that is they don't have the same fight IQ as Izzy & are unable to recognize with every movement there's a lvl of risk involved. Think of it as each movement on a scale of risk & reward. Izzy knows Izzy & his opponents best. That being said, I do feel that Izzy could've done a bit more without being reckless. I'm not a fan of Izzy but... In his last 10 fights(Jared to Brunson) here's the tactical (boring fights) info : 1) Yoel R (a killer) : They both played it safe, no doubt it was BAD. 2) Jan B (Going up the weight class) : Izzy played it tactical & a bit safe, Not electrifying but NOT BORING. 3) Marvin V (2nd fight) : Marvin got outplayed tactically, not electrifying but SMART. 4) Whittaker (again 2nd fight) : It was very tactical & safe game-play from both, not electrifying but NOT Boring at all. 5) Jared : This is the only fight I felt Izzy was tad bit boring at this stage. Hardly any damage to both. Mostly due to pre-fight promises & entrance & hype. A bit of arrogance too. Izzy must understand : 1) He's considered among the best in current times so the level of scrutiny is intense. 2) His last 4 fights have not been electrifying to the audience. 3) The audience plays a big role in UFC's success, PPVs, Be open to criticism & Be Humble, when they praised you, you didnt complained! Why now? 4) For that level of respect demands that level of performances, Only wining will not get you that respect. Like Izzy~Kevin, more recently Glover~Jiri, Conor(all fights)~Khabib, Jones fights, Rhonda fights, Amanda, Joanna~Weili etc etc 5) Gold Standard : Jones, Khabib, GSP, Silva, Mighty Mouse, Conor(including the revenue aspect) - None of Conor's fights were boring or safe...He walks the talk, that's why audiences keep him in that level & the revenue he generates....No comparison with anyone. The backlash he's facing is not because he's not a great champion but bcoz people see him wanting to be in that league of the greats but... there are some rough sea he needs to cross! Don't talk about a big game, if you plan on point fighting which is a perfectly functional gameplan.

Khabib says smesh and decisions over a third of his matches. Nobody watched him till Conor 2 years away from the game. Charles don’t say anything highest finish %, subs, most performance of the nights, and beat Khabib best ranked opponents better and faster, plus Pettis, finished Tibua , who Khabib couldn’t takedown , chandler. He lost some while young, but don’t forget Khabib fought 12 guys with 0 wins in un drug tested or sanctioned bout that were sometimes only 2 rounds. 14th fight going against a 0-0 record and Charles #3 Paul Felder is different. Seems he’s considered goat but 1100 days 3 defenses and decisioning #11 Al LaQuinta for belt that Al couldn’t win because half pound. People don’t know what they want. They root for people against people they hate.

The walkout was incredible but the fight was reminiscent of the Romero fight - incredibly dangerous killer athlete realizes live on television that he can't touch Izzy in a kickboxing match, and he can't get in on him to get him to the floor. At that point, he was at the mercy of one of the greatest living strikers. You can either get outpointed, as Cannonier and Romero did, or you can try to play the chess match, as Costa did, and eat one on the temple. Unfortunate as Jared's choice made the fight quite boring to watch but it's hard to blame him or Romero. Izzy is just that good.
