I've spent the last few weeks debating the idea of signing up for 70.3, but the fear of training and working full-time has been scary. This video came right on time for me. Thank you! This is inspirational ❤

Seriously guys, you are my heroes. I am working in Hellenic Coast Guard, 42 and father of 5. I somehow manage to do some exercise any time I can find. Watching you, even that we are miles away I feel that we share same staff, in a way... Keep up the good work. Jenna, you look great.

That's badass dedication to work/training g/relationship. Love this channel and your way of capturing your life. I watch your vids whilst on the bike trainer or stretching. You have motivated me to enter a 70.3 here in Aus. Used to do triathlon as a kid and teenager but then somehow injuries and all just fell away from it. Returning in my last week of being 34 with avengence! Keep em vids coming, love from Australia.

It’s so inspiring watching you work full time and also train. Do you ever feel too tired to do all the stuff you do??
@FreestyleTri3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely yes. Exhaustion does come sometimes, but I try to prioritize rest as much as possible by getting at least 8hrs of sleep each night. If after a work day I feel so tired that I don’t want to do a work out, I still get dressed and tell myself to go at least 10 minutes-and once I get going I usually have the willpower and energy to finish the workout

Great video, with work and training, what does your recovery days look like? 8 hrs of sleep, use whoop or HRV apps? Or active recovery with a light workout?
@FreestyleTri3 жыл бұрын
I train hard and recover harder. I sleep 8-9hrs/night and use Whoop to assess how I should approach my day of training. My recovery days are usually an easy run or a light lift+walk just to keep the muscles moving

I want to sign up to a 70.3 that's 10 weeks from now. I know i can do the swim and run, because there are no cutoff times, but I'm worried about the bike. Since there's no cutoff times, is it realistic I finish the 90km bike?? (I'm an OK cyclist- on a casual training session I've done 30kms) been biking for a few months. (Running for 16 yrs)

Also i ran way more than y'all did in 2020 and im 40, double plus lol. Appearantly KZbin loves a 20 hours tri training week. Keep it up! 👊. Best.
