I think student should show up to a large comfortable space with its own kitchenette, fridge, table, bathroom, desks , rec area and green space that students design and decorate themselves. It will not be the teachers classrom, it will be your classroom. You can even have a pet if it does not bother another student. You will have 14 classmates and will show up to school in flex period. No bells. Siri will be watching and recording you. You specialized teachers will arrive in 1 hour30 min blocks for through lessons. Only 4 subject a day with math everyday and everything else on a loop schedule. All computing will be wireless and you will have your own device. You will be pulled from your classroom for labs, theater, sports in small groups, so during pars of the day there may only be 7 students in a classroom. It's probably then you will pull your lunch from the fridge and heat it. Then you will go to small group activities and the other half of your class will have lunch. Every student will have their own individualized education plan. Your teaches will only have to keep track of about 50 students, but they rove between classrooms.

Education is very important. I completely agree that everyone needs different education. Something else I think is important to know is that you can not make someone learn. If an individual refuses to learn, no amount of disciplinary action can help them as many schools commonly promote. There has never been a time where self-education was more achievable. Unfortunately, it is also very discouraged.

@Tracydot33 жыл бұрын
Look up the Reggio Emilia approach, it's an educational philosophy where students lead and teachers guide and encourage. Instead of homework, children work on projects and can choose what project they want to work on. There are no tests, no worksheets, no lesson plans. Instead there are centers for children to explore different materials (mainly natural or recycled) and ask questions and then the teacher builds on the student's curiosity. Reggio education was developed after WW2 in a small town in Italy, so this concept has been around for a long time but many people don't know about it. I taught at a Reggio preschool for 4 years and the kids were happier, more confident, and more creative than kids who had to go to a traditional school where they have to sit in a boring class and memorize stuff they are forced to learn. The only issue is that the school I used to teach at is only for rich kids. It's a very expensive school with small class sizes. This type of school needs to be free for everyone.

Sounds good, do you have any recomendation or literature to read on how to complement education at home for children? I love all the innovative new aproach at this matter, but being realistic its not about to be implemented everywhere, so i´m concerned as a parent how I can complement the current type of education at home without overwhelming the kids. Sorry for the english I´m not a native speaker.
@Tracydot32 жыл бұрын
@@Fernando-vn2ms How old are your kids/is your kid and what country do you live in? There's isn't a blanket approach to homeschool education. It depends on the child's age, how they learn, where they live, and what their interests are. It also depends on how much time you have per day to dedicate to their education. I know it can seem overwhelming if you aren't a teacher and don't really understand how it all works, but it really depends on a lot of factors. I can't recommend a random book without knowing more information about your situation.

While your idea of making the education system more tailored to one's own curiosity is a good one, it does not seem available to the wide general population who are paying taxes to their individual school districts to get free public education. I don't know the cost model for a consumer for this type of education system but I can tell it is not the most economical one.

Why am I worried about personalised education? Why do I fear this will segregate education back to the time prior to 1920 with the haves and have-nots? All this costs money. How do we make this available to the inner city kids? The kids whose parent do not work for Google or Microsoft or Bank of America. Why do I think the have-nots will be even worse off than they have been up to know. The gap between the educated and the uneducated (and thus unemployed) is going to expand exponentially. Don't get me wrong, I love this idea. All I'm saying is that it comes at a cost. There must be a more inclusive approach somewhere.

YES in the 1800's students would be subordinated to take on the role of teachers to teach younger students, since it was usually only one teacher in a school house, and this hierarchy puts less strain on the teacher as well as involves all of the students more, instilling them with a greater sense of responsibility. Collective learning is important. Time for exploration and free learning can be built into the day, but we want to make sure that all kids are learning together the fundamental basics for their grade. This does not mean that those who want to go faster will be limited. They can use their free time during the day to go further --- the question is -- can the schools afford the materials that support exploration? Once again, collective learning and collective memory is important for human development.

I love this idea. However this would only be a reality if governments are willing to pay extra for good quality education. The only way for the education system to advance is by supplying more money for this type of education.

School today is already very different, in our school already uses projectors than whiteboards or blackboards and our homework is online, it already changed alot somehow makes school more fun because it is relatable in our daily life. Yup found an essay for my homework XD

It's basically a Montessori School but with technology.
I was doing some rearch and thinking about starting a school. But as i thought about it and did some search on youtube I came to understand that in the future schools will not be in buildings. So investing over 1 million dollars would be a waste!

In the future, schools will allow kids to learn whatever they want, whenever they want, and as long as they want

This is a great idea but first you’d have to convince the nation and it’s leaders to give a crap about education and schools. Many of the ones making decisions were raised in the factory model of school and can’t see past that. They are not creative or innovative thinkers. Hell, many simply cannot understand how important creativity is to learning. They see things like art, music, etc as unimportant when it comes to school. Teachers in many places are told that students are not allowed to draw, paint, etc in class.

As i watch this video i got to know tha Max Ventilla is no part of this startup, i really loved the concept of this kind of education but you know in the startup world is all about the right time to launch. I am sure what Max Ventilla said is going to be there not today but tomorrow for sure.

if school systems never change then, more formula will appear, more subjects will appear, more stuff to learn, more pressure will be placed on students. it's up to you to overthink about what happens next.

Curious as to what the model is to foster collaboration and building those social emotional connections. This is truly an amazing concept, how do you analyze where the students are? What about standardized testing? Is it not state mandated? I wholeheartedly think we need to move to a learn by doing education system. However, it cannot be all technology. Fine motor skills are lacking now in school, communication skills as well, forget writing. Most students come in not even knowing how to hold a crayon in Kindergarten. Nonetheless being able to read at the end of Kindergarten. Yet The system wonders why children cannot read. Ummm could be that developmentally, they are behind. Or that the system needs revamped. This is very interesting and makes me want to dive in a bit.

The current school system is incredibly obsolete Its over 200 years old 90 percent of all that you learn in todays school is discarded in garbage after the test 90 percent of time spend in schools is wasted completely
@jjc65303 жыл бұрын
No, this won’t happen, the way things are going, the system will collapse before it gets to this. There were many many problems with the school system, with the pandemic, it magnified the problems and created more from the previous unresolved problems.

This looks better than most of the more common public schools but my question is where is nature? Where is literature and poetry? Is there anything but technology, math and science? I loved the school outside Santa Rosa where each class was graded as a whole, not individual grades and they had a beautiful garden where they grew food and then learned to cook. Depending on technology should not be everything but hopefully combined into the creative, artistic side of being a full human.

I really hope to have an answer from anyone on the company. I have been a student all my life and belive things could be better. After 4 years of looking for my life purpuse I belive it is to revolucionise the education system. I would like to know, how could individualization enter in a online educational service?

We must stand for a change, we aren't heard enough, we must change this as fast as we can, or else it'll become too late, everything in this world has changed already and going to change further, so why must it's fundamental parts won't?

Going back to badics... Apprenticeships will be back... Very quickly. Stand next to the pro and learn. I was learning how to cut hair at 12 years old in a BARBER SHOP... Shaving men with a straight razor at 14 and opened mybown shop at 21 years old... NEVER went to school. All apprenticeship with ONE man. Nooney exchanged.❤

Education like anything else in this world is connected to money. If you have money you can get it.
