I Made This Documentary For You All To See The Truth & Learn From My Mistake. I Never Knew How Valuable An Education Was Until I Went To Prison.
The biggest & most famous drug dealers in America's history. Freeway Rick Ross is now a free man after receiving a life sentence but only serving
over 20 years in federal prison for the sales and distribution of drugs.
Like over half of those incarcerated. Rick was illiterate until he was 28. He learned how to read in prison and became a jailhouse lawyer, eventually winning an appeal to get his sentence reduced.
Today his mission is to teach literacy-reading, writing, financial, and media-to those whom educators find the hardest to reach. He acknowledges the terrible damage crack created, especially In African American communities, and he is now trying to give back.
Ross debut into the fashion industry with his infamous tee shirt "The Real Rick Ross is Not A Rapper" followed with an autobiography with Cathy Scott called Freeway Rick Ross: The Untold Autobiography, and then released 2016 Emmy nominated, Freeway: Crack in the System on Al Jazeera. The documentary was rereleased on Netflix, Dec 15, 2017 and now you can watch it for FREE here on this KZbin page. He is also promoting
his new book Riding with Rick: The 21 Keys of Success with Kole Crutcher, a self help book which chronicles how to turn failure into fame, poverty into plenty, and setbacks into success!
Freeway Rick Ross is the newest board member for NDICA, National Diversity Inclusion & Cannabis Alliance, which is an organization that supports people of color, diversity, ownership, social justice, and social equity. The mission of the NDICA is to create an ethical and fair market to reduce barriers contributing to the lack of representation of minorities and marginalized community members. This aligns with Rick's mission to create awareness so that people of color can have ownership in a billion dollar industry. LA Kingpins and FREEWAY
are two cannabis brands Rick currently own and also he's about to take over the boxing
Industry by being one of the best boxing advisors in the game.

I'm a former undercover narcotics detective for a multi jurisdictional federal task force. I will say from first hand knowledge that the " drug war " is and always has been a total failure and was never meant to stop drugs. We have an addiction problem and you can't arrest your way out of that. One of my biggest assignments was busting the pill mills in the early 2000s. We succeeded in busting those drs but what we really did was open the door for heroin to make a huge and extremely aggressive comeback. And the heroin has led to fent. It's time to change the way we look at things. I appreciate Mr Ross for telling his story. It along with several other stories of young men looking for a way out helped me change my perspective. After several years and countless arrests leading to countless years of incarceration, I didn't stop a damn thing. I only made it worse. I dont have the answers but I know what we are doing/ have been doing isn't working and never will....

It's like the meth trade in Oklahoma the Stratford police department shows up at a meth house in the police cars they scammed the tax payers out of not to bust drug dealers, but to party & get high while on duty, what you see in the drug war & the entire court system is a bunch of murderers, liars & thieves systematically oppressing people & using the authority they got by deception to cover your own crimes, you have no place in heaven, you serve Satan.

He served his time got completely out of the drug business and started living a normal life but years later of nonstop baiting him he finally decided to make a connection for an old friend and it was a trap. It’s crazy because why not just leave them alone after they served their time? Why send informants to bait them after years of going straight on the path to rebuild their lives?

This doc is very very well put together. When these kids talk about Rick Ross they need to see this. Now it's a opioid/fent epidemic - different substance and time but same sytamtic problem and issue (and it ain't just a hood problem or a black problem no more) you shine a bright light!! Keep it up bro, people need you and they need to hear your story
@Cardb33
@Cardb33 Ай бұрын
I think the fact that it's not just a hood or black problem anymore is what will make change happen. It's sad when they don't care about the hood or the black folks being effected by it. Now that it's become a more suburban problem and even effecting wealthier families that'll make the people have to take the drug epidemic more seriously. I hate that it has to come to that for them to try and make a change but it seems like that's the only thing that will do it.

The vacuum that needed to be filled from the loss of good work in the area was taken up by some b.s. that Reagan was pushing. He sacrificed black lives for a country not of his own. That is unbelievably disrespectful to the community. “Dump it in thee because they have nothing else. If they die, no one cares. One less black man, woman or child.” That is some cold shit. William Roberts ( fake Rick Ross ) making tons of money on the back of the REAL one is something very frustrating and unfair I guess. Really hope the real Rick Ross will get royalties and repairment money from all of this.

The Government knew that crack was a threat to world security because they had witnessed it in the fevellas of Brazil and knew how it would rapidly rip apart anything in its path because of its purity and how it was ingested. It used to be a whole process with ether and other chemicals turning the powder into freebase in the late 60’s but I learned later that chemist from UCLA,assisted the CIA and simplified the process with baking soda.

The house she has she worked hard for it . She said he didn't buy her anything but he brought all his friends. She was very nice and humble. NOW look at him back at him mom house 🏠 Can. You imagine all that money and his mother wanted no part of it

Rick Ross the fraudulent one can't pay the real Rick Ross, his handlers will NEVER approve of that but the rapper should have made a payment thru channels like THEY always do, the rapper will make sure he distance himself from the real Rick Ross forever because his IMAGE is at stake and his followers/supporters will dwindle if he even acknowledged the real Rick Ross, remember rappers IMAGE is the most important item they have in their closets, as for the government, this shows that the laws belongs to them and them only not the public

I understand why they did what they did. No one wants to be poor and the government tries to keep you poor. He just happened to take something that the government put in effect. With? The war and flip it to his benefit. So I . Understand why these Guys did what they did you know they may have lost it all but at least they were able to touch that kind of money in life at 1 Time

I have to say, I have been a government apologist. I put the blame solely on Freeway for destroying families, which he did. However, this film has made me rethink & remind myself that things aren't always so simple. The drugs came in precisely because the government allowed them to come in. They knew or should have known what that was going to mean. I believe those who made that happen have no souls & no love for people who had been left behind with no job & no options. I hear Rick's acknowledgment that he knows what the consequences of his actions were & I believe him. I don't know what the solutions are, but I do know that it can't be more dependency on the government or open borders either Decriminalization doesn't work. We need to stop the production. How, when pharmaceutical companies buy the bulk of the product, I'm not sure. ❤

20:00 This guy breaks it down right, and we see an example today at the highest level of government, the presidency. Rick Ross was the face of the epidemic, but he wasn’t the puppeteer. He was the middle man that took the heat. Same as the former prez. Everyone else tends to take the heat, from his attorney’s to the gullible followers. He however tends to skirt justice.
