I fly mine in mid rates mostly. High rate once in a while. Also 1st notch of flaps is plenty often I don’t use full flaps

hi nice flight, the 18 Blu Angels, the HIGH PERFORMANCE one, arrived two days ago, I wanted to know how many mm you put the elevator and ailerons, the CG. in the manual they say 88 mm, but it seems to me that you set it higher? finally can you tell me your impressions of this model? thanks bye

My control throws elevator are pretty close to the manual, it needs it. Ailerons are slightly less, in one hole on servo arm and outer hole on control surface. The manual 88cg is nose heavy making landings difficult having to carry a lot of speed. Cg of 100mm to 105mm is best, measured back from leading edge wing root, gear up model inverted.

Are you flying that with stock elevator servos??

I removed the stock ones and put in the upgraded freewing servos 23g, if my memory is correct. The pivot plate is reinforced with ply and balsa gussets

@BillCranford Ah. So they are the same servos that came stock with the upgraded High Performance version. Good. Those are what came with mine. It's good to see that they can handle those extreme sharp turns that you demonstrated there. That makes me less worried about them

@@markhyde43correct. I had an early release with the pinched servo wiring issue. Did you reinforce the plastic pivot plate? If that separates from the foam it would make for a bad day.

@BillCranford I'd reinforce them with plywood like RCInformer showed. Although the High Performance version already had a modified reinforcement to the stabilizer bearing housing. They secured it with a screw and nut coming up through the bottom. I did the plywood reinforcement from the top as a feel good measure.

Flap elevator mix? It doesn’t need much. I have just a bit down mixed
