There were too many Reggae Acts like this guys that performed great tunes towards the late 1980s and early 1990s that we can no longer keep track of today. We've lost these artistes and lost their songs too. Unless one is lucky to stumble on them here on KZbin like I just did this one. NTA Benin had many Such Acts and their songs on rotation on Television back in the days,ABS Television Onitsha too tried in this regard. We need a Nigerian Reggae Music Connoisseur to be hosting some kind of TV Or Radio Show to bring back these good old artistes back for us to enjoy once again 😭😭😭

Been looking for this song for years; thank God I found it. There was a controversy about this song back then. Rumor has it that it was recorded by Majek Fashek; but he had a misunderstanding with Tabansi, and free world was invited to take over the song; don’t know if it’s true. Whatever the case maybe, I love this song like crazy. I want to say a very big thank you to the person that uploaded it

I don't know about the controversy but you are right, This is definitely Majeks Voice! I never thought about it. Question is why didn't Majek ever bring it up till he died? Or did he and I didn't know?

This song was already recorded at the time, but based on the contracts, every song created under the Tabansi umbrella belongs to the record label. Majeck walked away without any rights. He was a staff under that record label; and produced the likes of Evi Edna Ogoli, Ras Kimono and Mandators

Song was massive in the early 90s and many mistook the artistes for Majek Fashek then. ABS Television Onitsha rotated their Music Video a lot back then. It was quite massive.
