would love an explanation/tier list for the power rankings in randbats. i play it casually but never would think "kilowattrel/dipplin/etc" are very strong or even know why tbh

Randbats has mostly equalized stats owing to the level disparity based on BST and winrate, so mons with good *distribution* of their stats, good typings, access to good moves and abilities, etc stand out. Dipplin for instance has very solid bulk that is then compounded by Eviolite and protected by Sticky Hold to make it very tough to crack without ice moves, on top of that it has a great offensive tool in Draco Meteor which tends to slam most of the format, reliable recovery in Recover, Dragon Tail to complement its bulk and phase out setup sweepers and rack up hazard chip, etc. It's a perfect combination of a lot of good factors in randbats. Kilowattrel has a great speed stat distribution wise which puts it near the top of the format, as well as being a ground and electric immune mon with a pivot move (u turn) that helps it keep up momentum by scouting switches if it forces one. Hurricane is also unreliable but extremely good coverage and the potential confusion can be ruinous On the other hand mons that tend to just rely on big stats are usually not that good, like Rayquaza. Its ability is often useless, its stats are pretty evenly distributed so none of them really stand out, its move pool is pretty nice since it has Dragon Ascent and Extremespeed, as well as access to Ddance and EQ but it's not nearly as good as other Ddancers with better stat distributions and abilities like Dragonite (Multiscale)

I've observed that randbats have higher level for defensive mons. Pex is level 82 while some mediocre attacking mons are less than 80

Yeah it's because defensive mons are pretty dependent on their level. It affects their hp and defensive stats. If they're too low level they're just going to take too much damage from everything and be unable to recover or do anything. If they are too low level and are taking slightly higher percentages it gets to the point they can't do anything because they just have to spam recover. For offensive mons it technically affects more such as their attack stat, speed and the level modifier into damage, but they are not as dependent on specific percentages, even if your eternatus doesn't ohko the Trevnant, they are still scared out because of the match up.

It's not, Drifblim didn't take as much damage from Stealth Rocks due to not being a flying type anymore, which led to it not consuming the Sitrus Berry and thus Unburden didn't activate.

The reason Flying type is relevant for Unburden in the second game is because Drifblim didn't take enough from Stealth Rocks in order to trigger the Sitrus Berry.
