Freeze Buttermilk

Great idea. I've never thought of freezing buttermilk left over from a recipe. Love the ice cube bags too. I've never seen them before.

Is there a 'best way' to thaw the buttermilk you've frozen? (Better to thaw it quickly using heat or to allow to thaw more slowly at room temperature?)
