You should get down to way below 500mtorr. Mine gets down to under 300 and even do 160. You really don't know what you are talking about with the seal issue, but you may have other leaks like in the drain valve or other.

Agreed that it will go below 500. Mine will go into the 20's, way under 100. This is for the initial heat cycle where it turns on at 499. I was trying to get my sister to be able to adjust her door correctly. So it at least has to hit 499 to start the freeze drying process. She lives 500 miles from me , and I thought it would be easier to make a video for her. So I ended up going to Pennsylvania and showing her what I showed in the video here to fix her problem. It is really quite a simple thing to set the gasket to seal on the door this way. It was her problem and it is the fix she needed. Thank you for watching.

Ya I wasn't guessing she had a door seal issue, I already knew her seal was not working correctly. So I have had my freeze dryer since early 2017. It is the old model with the display near the bottom. I got pretty good at finding solutions to problems with it after 7 years and never calling the company for help. Thank you again for watching.
