22, just started watching this series through for the first time. Absolute gold! Crockett and Tubbs are the coolest cats I’ve ever seen.

Epic unintentionally funny moment. I now remember losing it every single time when he throws the jar. Nowadays, shows are afraid to do this; they feel they have to take themselves too seriously to actually be serious. Nuh-uh. Take some notes from this show, y'all!

And not ONE DAMN CELL PHONE in the whole Episode!!! NOW thats TV!!!!
@vaughnboston1483 жыл бұрын
Now days most people can't function properly. Without the use of a cell phone withdrawal syndrome. 😁 Life was both much easier and simplicity. The less you had to keep up with technological advances. Sure, the 80's had tech just wasn't so life dependent upon it delusional.

Theme is still catchy IMHO in 2021. The Cuban Conga drums...worked so well. Like to see some studio put out another TV series do that MV did. The how was leading edge in so many ways. Made a dead street a hot spot....South Beach. Put Miami on the map.

The brute throwing the jar is still funny, and the cherry on top is Crockett whacking him over the head. I love how this was basically a wrestling match too. I didn't really see punches or kicks, just grappling that led to a lot of paperwork.

Dennis Farina, a former Chicago cop, would appear again as Albert Lombard in the season 1 finale "Lombard" and the season 5 "lost" episode "World of Trouble". In the interim, he starred in Michael Mann's 1986-88 series Crime Story, and also served as a technical advisor on Mann's 1986 film Manhunter, a position he had also held on Mann's début picture Thief in 1981.
@lindacollins9032 жыл бұрын
There were so many actors from Miami Vice in Crime Story, I expected Crockett and Tubbs to come walking in. Even Iggy was in a couple of episodes. Crime Story was set in the 60s and although they played music of the time, just as Miami Vice did, Crime Story fell way short of Miami Vice.

Nah, I honestly think it made them so much cooler to go against a bigger guy like that. It took a lot of balls to do so.
@GenkiTheGod3 ай бұрын
I didn't even see them get hit much, if at all. Big guy was just trying to flee when shaking them off. His lack of actually fighting back just feels like less of a fight, and more of a skirmish.

@gmcneoplan843 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I noticed that too. That dummy's hands were white and gummy, tell tale signs of a dummy. I've seen every episode of Miami Vice an unhealthy amount of times since the 1990s (syndication and on DVD), and viewing this clip today is the the first time I noticed that C&T were handcuffing a dummy.
