I was initially worried this wouldn't match the hype of the most intense hide 'n' seek chases, but then around 3:18 Crafty made a super risky play and I was already shaking my fists in excitement. And then the round ended with a big clusterfuck of tags and I was jumping up and down. This mode's a winner, Amy - fantastic work! Edit: OMG and Katie saving the boys at 11:35! The stakes are so high with the threat of a full team KO Edit 2: aaaaagh and the metagaming at the end!!!! Oh man you never see this sort of backstabby strategerizing in hide 'n' seek this elevates things to a whole new level

Round 2 was so good. Amethyst and Crafty against the movement gods, and then somehow Katie ended up being the last one standing and she even clutched up a save. Always good to see the improvement of everyone in this game. Smant, Fir, and Mars are just set a really high bar for everyone else.

I really hope Amethyst considers releasing like a “making of” video about the process of making the mod and the winter stages. It was so fun watching it all come together and it would be so incredibly satisfying to see a video that just goes through some of the decision making (not so much a “how to” but a “here’s all the things I changed and why”), followed by footage of people actually using and playing the mod and stages.

Pardon the pun but this is seriously one of the coolest mods for this game I've ever seen. Not only is it just a really neat game mode but all the little aesthetic things like actually getting frozen in a chunk of ice, that really nice wipeout logo, even changing the signs to have snowflakes! And Slusheon Kingdom looks great, the perfect icing on top... pardon that pun too...

I like the points system! I think it's a genius way to incentivize saving others and it avoids teammates sabotaging each other. This is, of course, only coming from a design standpoint. We love sabotage.

This is a great new mode, well done Amy! As an extension to tag in general, we used to play a version of tag at school in England which involves staying off the evil team (trying to tag people) and everyone would have a stop watch, and your time only went up if you were on the good team; as soon as you get tagged, you have to stop your time until you tag someone else. At the end of 15 minutes, you scored 1 point for every 10 seconds on your clock. Simple but very hectic, and the constantly changing teams was always great fun!

I love how well you all keep this game so fresh and interesting. I don't know how or even if it could be implemented, but maybe there should be a pac-man-esque score modifier if you rescue/capture multiple people in quick succession, like eating ghosts. That way, super clutch plays are rewarded?

I was there for a good chunk of the stream. It was a lot of fun, and definitely a lot quicker than hide and seek. Both great gamemodes. I'm impressed by how much work you put into it, with all the different icy maps, the layout of runners and chasers and the wipeout screen.

I wasn't sure I would end up liking this more than Hide and Seek, but this was so much better in terms of excitement. With Hide and Seek, you end up with mostly watching players sit in place if their spot is good and maybe see a couple of good chases, so it's not super exciting, where as this is just all exciting chases all the time. Big fan, and would love to see more of this content, especially if you can get even more players involved!

Holy crap the effort that you put into this mod and video is insane. This is such a breath of fresh air for SMO multiplayer, great work! It does seem like the mode is a little unbalanced though, runners seem to have a bit of an advantage. Maybe a buff to seekers could be that their cap can freeze them?(I have no idea how modding the game works so idk if that’s even possible)
