My husband and l are two of the many that have lost our winter fuel allowance. We are just outside being able to claim pension credit. Already l notice how cold we are both feeling and winter hasn’t set in properly yet. We daren’t put our heating on all day as we used to because of the cost. Our direct debit has just gone up by £20 per month for our gas and electricity because of the increase and l’ve been to.d it will increase again in January. So for us we use blankets if it’s a particularly chilly day and l use a hot water bottle. I just want people to know Neil that this is a reality for lots of pensioners and this is how we are living this winter. I know l shouldn’t but l do get angry at all these people that are coming into this country illegally and living in 5 star accommodation when both of us along with many, many others have worked all our lives, paid our taxes and can’t even put the heating on for longer periods of time. This is our reality in December of 2024. 😢😢

The BBC is no longer a world leading service, it surely has to move to a channel 4 and ITVX subscription service. Has anyone anyone else noticed that BBC news 24 goes to information screens to allow other channels in America and several other countries use advertising at these times. The corporation should not be allowed to collect fees that are unrealistic in the era of mainly cheaper platforms. The licence fee should be abolished. It is no longer pertinent or offers value for money and it’s output is definitely not what it was 😮

I think the song is brilliant. I read it was a man, not in the music industry, got fed up with everything going on, particularly the removal of the Winter Fuel Allowance. So he sat down and wrote the lyrics, once finished, he looked around for someone who could sing it. He met the guy singing the song and he thought it would make a great song and was happy to help by accepting the offer, to sing the song. After rehearsals to run through the song, they got it made into a format, that people could access to listen to it.

I guess the public will just have to turn to another radio 📻 station to listen to what they would like to listen to. BBC LICENCE FEE: As for you (Neil) still being sent letters demanding that you pay your BBC Licence fee! How ridiculous is that, especially when you don't even have a television. With the BBC wasting even more public monies by sending out letters demanding payment of a fee that you don't owe them. They (no doubt) do this to many other people who do NOT owe the BBC anything. I use ROKU and it works very well, I know there are others, including Dish and Direct. The only downside is if you have a favorite show on a network, if you're on Dish, etc you can chose your channels and watch a show initially or in my case, wait till the next day, and watch the new show and avoid those high fees. Pace yourself Neil, winter is just beginning 👋❤ Happy Christmas🌲
