These Freikorps are critically evaluated today because they not only functioned as troops at the disposal of the democrats against left-wing extremist subversives, but also carried out independent actions as paramilitary units and participated in the reactionary Kapp Putsch. The performance of their songs with appropriate illustrations serves the military-historical presentation and historical reappraisal, but not propagandistic purposes.
In recent research, there is now agreement on the independent life of the paramilitary associations in the early Weimar period, the vast majority of which can clearly be assigned to the radical anti-republican camp of the German right, but because of their independence cannot be seamlessly qualified as precursors of National Socialism.

Kurze Geschichtsstunde: Im 18. und 19Jhd wurde der Totenkopf an Uniformen getragen um dem Feind zu zeigen, dass Pardon nicht gegeben und nicht angenommen wird. Das Emblem betonte den unbedingten Willen zum Sieg, unter dem Einsatz des eigenen Lebens. Es war also ein symbolischer Leitspruch des jeweiligen Kampfverbandes. So trugen den Totenkopf die russische Zarengarde, die Leibhusarenregimenter Preußens und die britischen light dragoons, nur um mal drei Beispiele zu nennen. Die light dragoons heißen heute royal lancers und tragen bis heute den Totenkopf als Verbandssymbol. Unter dem Totenkopf steht bis heute "or glory" - also death or glory im Gesamten. Erst im 20. Jhd wurde der Totenkopf von rechten Bewegungen übernommen -> SS. Der Totenkopf war also lange Zeit nicht das Zeichen des Bösen, sondern ein einfaches militärisches Abzeichen, bevor es tatsächlich von der SS zum Zeichen des Bösen wurde. Dass der Totenkopf auch weiterhin gern als militärisches Symbol benutzt wird (außer in Deutschland), habe ich ja bereits aufgezeigt. Soldaten in modernen Konflikten packen sich auch gerne mal das Punisher Symbol auf die Uniform. So gesehen bei z.B. US Soldaten oder auch erst vor kurzem bei ukrainischen Soldaten. Ich hoffe ich konnte ein wenig Geschichtsbewusstsein wecken und aufzeigen, dass dein Kommentar Blödsinn ist.

Freikorps are soldiers' associations outside of the official military. So a kind of paramilitary association. After the end of the First World War, the Freikorps in Germany helped to put down communist putsch attempts and did so successfully. for their part, however, they also acted in part against the government of the Weimar Republic. In addition, after the end of the First World War, Freikorps were still active in the Baltic States and fought against Bolshevism there with the consent of the victorious powers.
