Freight And Passenger Trains: Making the mainline a challenge in an operating session.

There is no doubt that the best part of an operating session is switching the industries. But what about the mainline? Yeah ok, running a train from 1 yard to the next can be boring but it doesn't have to be. How so you might ask? Well, how about adding additional trains at certain times and different types that have different agendas! Thats how you clog up a mainline and make it a challenge and a puzzle. Thats right, add a passenger train or a mainline local running in opposite directions. The list goes on but lets start out easy and watch this small example to get your mind thinking about your next ops session..

The local at the end of the video hit the horn twice. That was wrong. Your engine was put in reverse to move. The “Front” of the cab was coupled up to cars, therefore instead of two hits on the horn, that would have been three, as that is a reverse move. Sorry, the engineer in me is coming out. Other than that, good job!
