I bought one of these in Berlin as an emergency replacement for my DSPTCH bag that died on day one of a 1.5 month trip in Europe. It was pricey, but it was the perfect size for my Fuji xpro2, three lenses, sunglasses and daily carry. It worked well as a daily use sling bag and it protected my gear from some SERIOUS downpours along the way. Ended up being a pretty cool little souvenir as well. All and all thumbs up 👍🏻💥

BAD choice as a camera bag, not made for this use, no padding or inside dividers. Perfect as a daily carry.

@@DavidChurcheese hahaha get bent. It might be a BAD choice for YOU, but it is perfect for my needs and it worked great for a 1.5 month trip with countless flights and trains. My camera is made of magnesium alloy and is weather sealed. It doesn't need to be babied. I also HATE unnecessary padding in bags and I refuse to look like a tourist with some fugly loewpro bag or the like. I carry Domke wraps in my main bag if i need something for rougher travel. So yeah, in summary, get bent. Cheers

This is great to know because I was thinking about getting this bag when I travel - carrying my Fujifilm X100V or X-T5.

@@lofibenglad to help! I’d also recommend the tomtoc 5.5 L - I picked it up in xpac and it’s kinda great. Cheaper, more pockets and fits my xpro and two lenses (18 f2 / 35 f2) with other randomness

cute bag. wonder why it's called Hawaii Five-0. Cute daruma in their vid. Rareform does something similar with discarded billboards.

I have 2 issues with this bag: 1. I’m short, when I shorten the strap, there’s a lot left hanging, it bothered me a lot, even when I tried folding it (as seen on the brand’s instagram), 2. The strap really hurt my neck.😢 It kept scratching my neck. I was so disappointed because I really wanted it. Returned.

That's a super cute little purse / bag. Bit pricey, £150, but it is nice and suits Lauren. I hate the velcro though, makes it look cheap.

it is important to mention the very strong plastic smell on these bags

ya'll have put 40-50 weeks of testing into like the last 20-30 videos for this month, meaning you must be carrying or testing 2-3 products at all times. how is this even possible while writing and filming these in the same locations? how much travel/usage is actually being put into these products? am i braindead or is this some kind of bag psyop?

You know there's more people at Pack Hacker than just Lauren and Tom right? They're just the eye candy presenters... 😁 So if you have 10 writers, all carrying a bag for 2 weeks, that's 20 bags a month, at least. One bag might be a back pack, one might be a messenger, one might be a sling. All used concurrent with each other dependant on what the person is carrying. Lauren, for example, might test: a back pack - for commute and trips. a messenger - for day to day quick trips. packing cubes - for travelling and commuting A make up stack - for daily use And they can be tested all at the same time. Multiply that by the 10 staff carrying 4-5 items each and you've got 40-50 items to review every 2 weeks, 80-100 a month.

@@linedwell no, I don't know, but the presenters are the ones being filmed and.. presenting their experiences. Lauren has presented like 7 products this month, including this one, each with two weeks of use. the review for this one is also under Lauren's name on the site. I'm assuming the presenters are the ones writing the reviews for the products they're presenting - if not, that's even more weird. i mean if they're actually using 2-3 of these things at all times in anything close to a normal life style fair game... but most of these are travel products, and it just doesn't really seem particularly believable.

@@nickalreadyinuse well maybe one day they'll do a behind the scenes just for you.

@@linedwell they should, because a behind the scenes in this case seems like it would be really fascinating travel content. I can agree with your numbers if all of their staff are constantly commuting or traveling in a way that necessitates the usage of 4-5 products at once. But that is somewhat hard to believe - as their lifestyles would all need to demand the usage of fairly bulky/involved travel gear as part of their EDC. For your example... who needs packing cubes on the daily? Air-based super commuters... maybe. But in most of those cases people just set up caches of stuff/rent a second apartment etc. Further, who needs to carry both a backpack, messenger bag AND a sling on the daily? I have a walking/light rail commute within a fairly large metropolitan area daily and never see anyone doing this but maybe there are some. I dunno, seems weird. In addition to that, they are writing these reviews, shooting b-roll/photos in almost the same places for each video, and filming each review at the same location/set. This means that whatever their usage pattern is, they're always returning to the set at least several times per month. Almost every single one of these videos is titled on here with "2 weeks of use", but the logistics required for this to be the case make it fairly hard to believe unless the "usage" part here is completely superficial use, or just carrying stuff to carry it. The alternative is that all of these people have insane lifestyles which demand carrying 3-5 bags of stuff daily. Or maybe they invented time travel and are keeping it to themselves. That's what I'm going to choose to believe in this case, personally, and not just that they've put "2 weeks of use" in the titles to grift/clown on everyone that searches for reviews of these items on youtube.

This bag is not unique. It’s a complete knock off of a timbuk2 messager bag.

We love FREITAG and Timbuk2! They’ve both been making stellar packs for folks on the move for decades. Neither can claim ownership of the messenger, but that doesn’t stop them from making rad packs! 😃
