FRENCH ART SCHOOL VLOG #2 (French/English subs)

Today's school vlog means a lot to me. This is a bit of a compilation of some days/moments in my life in art college that I filmed over the course of the last few days, weeks, months and strung together. Some of the footage was never meant to be a part of a vlog, but rather an experimentation (the bathroom free associating in Korean and English with Ji for example...I didn't understand what she was saying but it didn't matter because it was enough just to know that someone was listening.)
And even if some of these memories are cringey or a bit raw, I put a lot of care and love into editing it, and the joy that it brought me made me realize how special the experience of studying in this small creative school in France really is. I am very moved that some of you have taken interest in my life as an American in France, an aspiring artist and a dreamer, so I am trying to be as inclusive as possible by making the videos French/English friendly with subtitles. Welcome to the party.
I hope that this little diary entry of a video can inspires you in some way--weather you want to study abroad or move to France or be a more creative person. My hope that in sharing this with you, my isolated experience can transcend the little space in time in which it existed.
I wish this could have been longer, but it's summer now. This is the last school vlog until September, so I hope you enjoy. My next video will be a q&a, so let me know if you have any questions.

I will explain--Ji and I have always spoken French together. She doesn't understand that much English and I don't understand any Korean. The idea of this exercise is to free associate, meaning we say things as we feel them. Sometimes you just need someone to listen, even if you know they won't understand.

Hiiii, I wonder if the entry exam to get into French art school is difficult? Because I tend to worry before every exam (crying). Can you describe your experience while getting the exam? My orientation is illustration so I really want to follow a course with lots of painting and drawing, storytelling, etc..Does beaux-arts in French school included those things and we can learn by our orientation or do we have to pick another course to suit totally to our will? Because I have researched and mostly there are beaux-arts courses, and very rare illustration programs. What are the requirements when you choose a school? Finally, thank you very much. i would find it really helpful if, in a future video, you could talk a little about your process of deciding to go to art school, how to know whether it's right for you or not, how you got in etc! C’était juste parfait, on a vraiment l’impression d’être là, a t’écouter et a essayer de comprendre chacun de tes ressentis ! Cette vidéo est pleine d’inspiration et d’ondes positives (du moins je le ressens comme ça) tu m’as donné envie de faire plus de choses, d’oser, de moins réfléchir et foncé, de me focaliser sur les bonnes choses de la vie.
