French Broad River Smallmouth Kayak Bass Fishing! (MASSIVE SMALLMOUTH)

In today's video, I will be floating the French Broad river for smallmouth bass! Fishing the French Broad river for smallmouth bass is one of the best things to do around Asheville North Carolina! The French broad river kayaking scene is a big community and friendly toward kayakers. There are many launching locations for kayaks on the french broad river bent creek river park being the most popular. River kayak fishing especially river bass fishing is one of my favorite things to do. River smallmouth bass fishing is something that you should try if you have not already. Smallmouth bass fishing is one of my favorite hobbies to do in the warmer months, especially on the french broad river. French Broad river fishing for bass is well known in the area to have giant river smallmouth and can be very rewarding especially if you're persistent. The french broad river flows through Asheville NC and has some good early spring bass fishing. The French Broad River in North Carolina has an excellent population of smallmouth bass in the river and is some of the best sections of the french broad river smallmouth fishing. The french broad river is best when fished around and has some excellent fishing opportunities. Smallmouth river fishing is very rewarding compared to lakes because it seems like the smallmouth bass fight harder. I enjoyed this. I am new to the area and was wondering if you would recommend a guide service for spin casting for smallies on the FBR? I have a canoe but plan on getting a boat soon (retiring) and would be interested in splitting the cost of a full day of guided fishing if there was any interest from anyone.

My buddy Luke Watkins and Zack Bradley are great guides on the French broad river! They float the river in their boat and I have been with them a few times and they’ll put you on the smallmouth. What section did you do? I am looking for someone to coordinate a shuttle for downriver float fishing and or an overnight float/fishing trip? I have an open canoe that can carry gear

It can be but it’s not that bad in my opinion compared to other rivers in western North Carolina. I definitely wouldn’t swim in it or eat any of the fish out of there that’s for sure. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!

Thank you! When I recorded this video last week they weren’t spawning but this week is a completely different story. I seen one on a bed today so they’ve started here! When did they start spawning over there if you don’t mind me asking?

@@RiverRatProductions I believe the big ones started a week or so back. they should be about ready to come off. We caught a bunch of 14-15-16" fish last weekend that were about to bust so I assume that those were smaller females that will go on when the big ones come off.
