The rig is a Nash Fang X size 7 with a Nash Micro Swivel on the shank with a 2mm hookbead keeping it in place. Finished with a bit of Diffusion Camou Shrink Tubing and Missing Link in 35lb completely stripped of coating. The reel I'm using (Callum) is a Daiwa Entoh and the reel Marc is using is a Daiwa Basia.

We couldn't seem to get the fish on the zig rigs. The only way to do it was pile enough bait in to draw the fish down. We used Nash Soluballs a lot because the soluble ingredients inside suspend in the water column drawing them down quite effectively.

It was caught about 7:30 am so I unhooked it, weighed it and put it back while we got the camera set-up. The video was taken less than an hour later. The margins are 30ft deep and well oxygenated with no weed and the time of day meant no direct sunlight. Usually we'd use a carp sack for retaining fish but with the granite rocks everywhere it's not a safe way to do it.

Take time to find the spots you want to fish and keep plenty of bait going in. They're hungry fish! If you can't see them jump then walk along the clifftop and spot them ;)

Warren Clarke - Glad you had a few fish. How big did you have them to?
@xvhuls12 жыл бұрын
you shouldn't keep carp in the retaining slings over night it would of been stressed for it to dolphin out of the sling there made to retain fish for a short period so you can sort your life out camera,mat, scales etc.... apart from that the place looks wicked for a french venue and great vid!

Blanking doesn't make good watching. It's hard because of my fishing on hard waters is places with a publicity ban but I will try put something together :)
