This was essentially a miss for me. Felt disconnected to the theme, like the May Garden Party box. Based on theme images, I was hoping for bakeware, a French country cookbook, utensils (copper wouldn't have gone amiss), more things to create a warm and cozy kitchen atmosphere. I got the green table set but will probably use the mats as dish towels are so thin. I got the chair towel, which just feels like a repeat of the art print. The second print was an orange tree in a pot. Cute. Would've loved a blue envelope instead of another green one, since I may mat the prints with their envelope. I've already got the radishes in use for me and my mom and they are fun. I adore the little cabbages online though. Antique items in photo would've been great, like a cast iron ancient look. Again, would've been more in line with a rustic French kitchen feel. Looking back at the last kitchen box, August '23, it hit the mark more for me than this one and seemed to have a much higher value. I think a set of the 3 spices would've made me feel better.

I cannot for the life of me remember the orange tree in a pot but I'm sure I have it stored somewhere. I just have a feeling that even though I do like to collect the full set, I probably wouldn't get all 4 framed with my limited wall space and obviously the tree didn't make much of an impression. Yes, all of the spices or a set of 4 mats and napkins would've been nice.

That mini cake tin looks brand new, lol, so, yeah, I feel like if you tried to use it outside the kitchen it would just look like you took a piece of bakingware and put it somewhere else 🤷🏾‍♀️ I think my favorite item is probably the vinegar jug. The radishes look cool, but we're a pepper grinder / salt cellar household, and we just don't entertain much.

I think the cake tin is second hand but not necessarily antique. The salt n pepper are cute.

The antique tin would look cooler if it had the patina like the examples they show in the photos. I particularly liked the radish shakers.

This was a good box. My favorite was the radish salt and pepper shakers. I've never roasted a whole chicken. For some reason, I'm intimidated by roasting a chicken! 😊

I just googled ‘baking tin upcycle’ and found ideas on ‘French La Vie’ - use as a cookie cutter, create bird’s nest, serve boiled eggs, use for gardening, candle holder.

Actually, I mentioned that they recently explained to me that customization was not something they could do for subscribers because of the logistics. And as far as I know the magazine is still an additional cost but one can save on shipping by having it included.

I liked this box, but I think I would've preferred 4 sets of mats and napkins and been willing to sacrifice the dishtowel and soap or something.

@@Kittyheavenwith21cats Well they did give us 2 and even though it’s just my husband and me, I think a set of 4 is sort of the minimum for items like that. I know they’re trying to get us to shop the boutique but then it would be nice if we were given the option to add items to the box to save on shipping or given a subscriber discount in the boutique to make it less cost prohibitive to complete sets.
