Thoughts on the change back to the forest all being the same vs how in SD2 with its light and dense forest? I personally think SD2's forest make much more sense and add to the gameplay positively.

There's quite a few gameplay elements from Steel Division which would do well being ported in WARNO : - "drastic" range differences (especially between AT options) - surrendering units (= more useful suppression strikes) - Penetrations on AFVs (rather than damage = pen - armour) - Phases & deployment types (= more strategy in the deck building element) - forest types Edit : also getting rid of vehicle fuel/range because it makes zero sense within the scope of the game

@@Boss_Man1371 fuel is just completely unrealistic, in wg:rd its actually insane, an ifv cant even traverse a map fully before running out of range, I mean yeah, they are fuel hungry, but I doubt you have to refuel them every 20km

Honestly, I'm a bit surprised you set your ATGMs to auto-fire on empty, unarmed transports. That gameplay setting pretty much neutralizes the, er, "strategy" of transport suicide-scouting. ;)

Sure, but especially at the start there. The ATGMs were the only real thing I had to kill them quick enough.

0:33 wel technically the AMX10 is a Armoured Car and not a Tank, since it doesnt have tank tracks

*AMX-10RC AMX-10 is way too general of a name that one can confuse with another AMX-10 (AMX-10P tracked IFV, the French "Marder" that has nothing to do with the AMX-1RC Wheeled Fire support/recconnaissance/tank-destroying armored car)

French doctrine considers them 'tanks', albeit light ones designed to 'fight for information' in a recon role but tanks/chars nonetheless!

You know, I'm just wondering. It would be interesting if that radar recon unit with exceptional optics can be targeted with SEAD. Then again, you can't turn off the radar of the recon, so I dunno. But if you could, would be an interesting mechanic. Turning it on makes it exceptional optics, turning it off makes it just good or whatever.

Wouldn't really make sense from either a gameplay or realism perspective. HARM missiles require that their launching aircraft be "locked on" by a hostile radar targeting system in order to follow those signals back to the source. Gameplay wise, exceptional-optics units are not so powerful that they need an "insta-delete" button. Also, it would be super infuriating if SEAD aircraft kept wasting their missiles on unarmed recon vehicles rather than much more deadly SAMs. ;)

This division seems to have a lot of issues. It seems like artillery support really could of come in handy in this match. Esp with suppressing enemy atgms. Seems like this division should get access to the LARS-2 MLRS or the M110-A2 203mm gun.

Aside from the obvious of massively upgraded visuals and sound and much more intelligent AI, there are also Smart Orders, Rules of Engagement, a historically-accurate division system, a line-of-sight tool, new unit mechanics such as smoke-launchers on vehicles, man-portable and towed artillery and (when the game nears release) 4 dynamic Army General campaigns that can be played in single-player, co-op or PvP.

Probably could have used smoke a bit but ATGMs are actually better at close range so the M48s would have a hard time regardless.
