Listen, when this man got with Max B that’s when things changed for the better for French. Max B had the music & French had the money to back Max B. 2008 to 2009 Max had shit locked down. Then French came out with Coke Boys in 2010 with Chinx, & wow, what a fucking street run. Once he signed with Diddy & went commercial his content watered down. Still a few gems here & there, but nothing like it was when it was just straight mixtapes. Max B himself put out like 30, 40 tapes from like ‘08 to ‘09. & he still kept going up until they hit him with 75 years. Chinx & French developed their styles from Max. & the beef with Jim put even more eyes on them. I always loved how even though Max & French & Jim were going back & forth, out of the respect for Stacks, Chinx was left out of it. That feeling from Dipset to Coke Boys will never be replicated, duplicated, copied, nothing. Shit like that will never happen again.
